Cramps & PMS HELP!!!
All docs are different. Mine said Advil/Motrin was ok on a once in a while basis and to take it with Prilosec. But NOT to take on a regular basis. But as Mo said, call your doctor and see what they say.
As for the PMS, well I would recommend a shot gun and tell everyone to get the hell out of your way. Always used to work for me.
Feel better.

Nothing touches my cramps. My doc said Motrin was okay once in awhile ... but not all the time. Said make sure I'm taking my Pepcid am and pm and take it with a meal so its not sitting alone in the pouchie. Best to talk to your doc about his protocol though.
Its funny to me that you read absolutely no this or that... I love my doc he preaches moderation and common sense, no eating between 3 reg meals, lots of exercise and healthy habits. I never get scare tactics from him or quick fixes - and I love that. Its why I picked him!
But, I digress. I was having horrible long periods after surgery and was taking Loestrin (famous for 3 day painless periods) to regulate excessive bleeding from before surgery. I stopped taking them because I felt like my body was trying to hormonally regulate itself as the weight is coming off and that the added hormones were confusing the situation.
Its been smooth sailin the last two months.. bad cramps.. but nothing out of the ordinary for me anyway... but I'm back on the regular w/out taking any hormones and so very thankful for that.
I would be interested to hear if anyone has done a study of middle aged pre-menopausal women and hormonal changes after WLS.
Hope you feel better! Love & Hugs,
