hate to report but I'm up 3 lbs :-( Been fighting these 3 lbs since December and it's driving me nuts (probably a short trip). Go up, then drop, go back up...grrrrr. Started journaling on FitDay food intake...gotta figure out what is going on besides increasing my walking to an hour a day. 'Building muscle' just doesn't work for me...not feeling 'in control'. Clothes still fit good and hubby reminds me every morning I'm looking good ^_^ Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on myself...but! I want to be at goal(130) by 1yr surgiversay which is March 16...just need to get back to basics and be accountable. Follow the 'rules'...what a concept, eh? LOL

Thanks for the positive re-inforcement Delores. I'm trying to stay between 800 and 900 cal a day....figured with the increased time walking, I needed the 'energy' level to increase. I admit the 'carb' issue is a bit confusing. We get a Nutrition newsletter and it said if you increase exercise, you need carbs to keep from getting fatigued while exercising..but doesn't tell me what % to shoot for on any given day. Anyone got any answers? ;-)

Thanks for the empathy, Eileen...it's comforting to know I'm not alone ^_^ I'm happy with my success...just want to reach a goal I set when I started this journey. I'm tickled pink with how I look, how I feel, the energy, the stamina...the desire 'to do'...I'm sure you understand ;-) This new life is a kick!
