Good Morning Calif........
Well after two week of babing my thumb, its still a mess. Went to kaiser yesterday to see what they say. My ankle is doing great. They are very proud of how its healing. Yeah for me! I did ask my doc to take me off of light duty for my ankle but he would not do that. To bad they could not say the same about my thumb. Its still swollen and very painfull. It hurts just to think it about. Ecen going two weeks with out using it 90 % of the time, the 10 % of time that I use it, it puffs up and gets snotty.
On Sunday DD and I done our hair, I went a bit Red and I think I might have over done it. Ekkk!!!.. OK I like it, but its bright. LOL.
OK time for shower and get ready for work. I wish you all a great day. Be safe and be smart.

Lu, I am sorry to hear your thumb isn't healing well. Hopefully things turn around, and it gets better soon.
Not much going on around here at the moment, just having a coffee and watching a bit of tv. Going to head out to the gym in a bit and workout. I find it so relaxing, put on my Ipod and turn it up loud and a way I go. I actually see some blue sky off in the distance, so hopefully Mr. Sun will grace us with his presence. Today is day 1 of 8 off from work. I want to try and get some yard work done. I am being overtaken by weeds in the back yard. I also have a few things I want to do inside the house too. I wonder how productive I will be. I am a great procrastinator. I hope you all have a fabulous day!!!!!

Wishing you good luck on the job search...hope it turns into an interview/job for you.
Today is just work, watching the rain drops from my window and praying the rain is gone by Thursday. Got a 4 day carving campout weekend ahead. Rain doesn't really interfer since we are inside but getting from the rig to the club house can be a #$%^^ if it's raining...and of course, the dogs absolutely HATE getting their dainty paws wet.
Well, time to put out fires and see what I can get accomplished before 4pm. Hope all have a great day..and Eileen! I'm terribly jealous!! 8 days off...what a deal ;-)

Yesterday I went to lunch with my Red Hat ladies and I ate zucchini quiche. It was so good and I did not have any problems with it. I brought half home and ate some more for dinner and then gave Indy the rest. (Indy is my black lab). Needless to say we both enjoyed it very much.
Today I am going to do some filing for my husband. That's about it for the day. I hope every one has a great day.

I have another mellow day in the office and I am a bit bored by this. I am going to try like hell to stop myself from getting into the muchies to deal with my boredom. Maybe I'll hit a thrift shop at noon to look for clothes I'll need when I go to Hawaii on the 18th.

I'm back! My birthday weekend was low-keyed but nice. Sunday, I ran 8 miles at Dockweiler Beach. Here's a tip for you: just don't park there. Parking is $9 (winter rate) and $15 (summer rate). I hate paying for parking!
Afterwards, I went home, showered and went to a Super Bowl party that my niece was hosting. I should have known something was up when my niece told me chill out just as the party was shutting down. We walked to a club down the street from her house. Once inside, I started dancing ...just enjoying myself. Next thing I knew, this young guy starts dancing behind me. We start talking and then we exchanged numbers. I just have to say that he is much younger than me. Time will tell on this one....
Saturday, I volunteered for the APLA runners at Griffith Park. I had set up the food tables. The drive up there was scary at best: mudslides, flooding and rockslides. To see all of that mud coming down the mountain just blew my mind. I just prayed that my car would not stall. Thank God that it did not. After the weather cleared up, everything was okay. At one point, I had recieved a text saying that the park was closed.
Yesterday, I played hookie from work. I drove out to Santa Monica, and then to Inglewood to see my family. I had plans to go to my wls support group meeting, but when my cousin invited me over for dinner, I decided that I would support my darn self for this month. Earlier that day, I went to take the test for the U.S. Census. If I can make a little extra $$ before my cruise, then that would be great. I passed the test with a score of 23 out of a possible of 28.
