VSG with insurance?

Has anyone had the vsg covered with insurance? if so, how did you get them to cover it? and what insurance?

Hi, you might want to x-post this question on the VSG message board. I had mine covered by insurance...I have Kaiser and it's one of the covered WLS procedures.

VSG on 04/16/10

I also have kaiser and they are covering my surgery as well.

Well, I have Kaiser also. But I have heard of some people getting approved for the band and then paying the addition cost to include the VSG out of pocket, which was about 1500. So they were sleeved and band at the same time. I would ask the other message board on how someone did that.
