Think Thin Protein Bars-- 20 g Protein
I have recently found a protein bar, called "think Thin". I wanted to ask all of you if you have had any experience with this product. They had quite a few varieties at the market, including some yummy sounding desert protein bars. These bars all contain 20 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar, along with 17 vitamins and minerals.
Here are the numbers from the Chocolate Fudge bar:
Nutrition Facts:
serv. size: 1 bar (60g)
Calories: 230
fat cal: 70
Total fat 8g
sat fat 3g
trans fat 0g
Cholesterol 5mg
Sodium 135mg
Total Carb 24g
Dietary fiber 1g
Sugar 0g
Protein 20g
the bars also have Vit A, Vit C, Calcium, Iron, Vit E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vit B6, Vit B12, Biotin, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Iodine, and Pantothenic Acid
The protein is a blend of Whey and soy.
I know the carb count is high, and some protein bars are nothing more than glorified candy bars. But please tell me what you think and if you have ever tried one of these. I am thinking of maybe using one of these bars instead of a protein shake, once in a while. Just to change things up.
I appreciate your help and input!
Thank you,
Michelle
My nutritionist brought these bars to my attention and recommended them. They also sell them next to the bariatric supplies in the pharmacy where I do my follow up appointments. I had the peanut butter and a fruit flavored one and I thought they were both good, especially the peanut butter. They do well if you're needed a sweet tooth fix and I liked the consistency too.
It's a good way to change it up.

I found them at Stater Bros. and Winco. But I called the 800 number on the package and asked them if they could send me some samples. She said sure, no problem. So she is sending out 3 bars and a few buy one, get one free coupons. I also asked her what stores carried them. She said, Stater Bros, Winco, Trader Joes, Ralphs, Vons (Safeway), and a couple of other ones. They have a line of about 6 different flavored bars, not including 3 dessert bars they just came out with-- Chocolate covered Strawberry, Lemon, and Raspberry. I was so shocked that all of them have 20g of protein.
Their website is www.thinkproducts.com and their toll free number is 866 98THINK
They are based out of Ventura, CA.
Give them a try and let me know what you think.
Hugs to you and Ron! Hopefully, we can see you later this month. Becky and I are taking a road trip up to Albany, to tour the school. Would love to see a few of the NorCal peeps!!
Hugs & Friendship,
Michelle
