Good Morning Cali,

My weekend was great!  Yesterday , I did a 12 mile run.  (ok, maybe that part wasn't so great)  I am a little "beat up" now but I should be okay enough to run again tomorrow.  I tried to stretch my right hamstring and OMG... I thought I had seen Jesus and his 12 homies.!  I was in so much pain.  During the run, I was great.  I think I will go for a walk tonight.  That should help.  Also, I will probably start a strength training program tonight as well.  It will based on Dr. Nelson's book "Strong Women Live Longer".  I have some 3lbs. dumbbells and a 20 lb. ankle weight.

Anyway, back to my weekend.  Friday, I went to a documentary of the Soul Train's  40th Anniversery in Beverly Hills.  Seeing all of the celebrities was definitely a special treat.  Saturday, there was So. Cal. Coffee.  I was pleasantly surprised to see Gus and Anna there.  There were a couple of new faces there as well; I hope these ladies will join us again soon.  Sunday morning, I tried to do everything but my run.  I went to the grocery store and then to the Hollywood Farmer's Market, then I realized that I needed to get this run done and over with.  So I went to Griffith Park and did my thing...at high Noon.

Well, I must be going now.

More Love and Peace,

Kimmie

Morning Y'all,

Just a quick hi. It is kinda busy today at work. I think every doctor showed up at the same time. Should make this afternoon, a bit quieter. It is a nice day outside, just wish I wasn't stuck here till 7:30 tonight. It would be nice to enjoy some of the sunshine. I am off tomorrow so I can only hope it will be nice. I hope you all have a great Monday. Don't work to hard.

Hugs, Eileen

Hi all,

My weekend was a mixed bag of running errands for me and my family.  I am the only one in the family with a vehicle that can haul things like furniture. I have a Honda CRV so I spent last weekend helping my mom buy new dining room chairs and then took her old chairs to my cousin's house.  I spent lots of time trying to find my baseball glove because I joined a softball team!!!! I didn't find the glove, but I cleaned out a lot of places where I was looking.

Don't laugh at me, but my husband and I watched 6 episodes of the Muppet Show from their first season. My hubby Jim put all the first season episodes in our Netflix que. We did that Friday night.

On Saturday, I managed to pull my thigh muscle to the point it hurts and I need to rest it. It's hurt for a long time, but I did a long work out on the eliptical and now it hurts to walk. I am bummed about this and may have to see my doctor. I can barely lift it to get my shoe on. OUCH!

Monday is here, I am in a funk because of it, but at least I am employed while in a funk!

Take Care,

MsBlues
