Well it is officially Wednesday and since I am still up though I would go ahead and make the post for WWW.

There are many new faces on the board so let me explain what WWW is:

This is a weekly post where we post our weight gains, losses if you wish to share.  I will be tracking the numbers for the year and will post the weekly total on Thursdays.  We are not here to judge or criticize you on your journey.  Remember, we are all here for the same reason and the weight comes and goes differently every week.  If you don't have anything to post for your weight please feel free to post your words of encouragement for those that did post a gain or loss.  If your scale did not move in either direction does not necessarily mean you are stalled, your body is just losing inches, and this does happen.

Since it is just past midnight I will post my results when I get to the office as I don't weigh until just before I shower in the morning.

If you haven't been on the board lately, take some time to read through some of the prior posts.  This week it seems like there are several things happening:
LB Coffee on Saturday
High Desert Dinner on Saturday
People are planning to BOUNCE on Friday evening.  Still working on my husband to go.

OK Cali peeps, do you have a loss, gain or same you wish to share this week?

Enjoy your day and be sure to smile.  If someone is not smiling, share one of your smiles with them.

Annette

Gppd Morning Annette and Cali Friends,

Please put me down for same weight.  I keep going up 1 lb and down 1 lb each day, so I am basically at a stall.  Got to stop doing carbs and right this ship!

Have a great day,

Hugs,
Barb

Good morning California,

I am exactly 3 weeks post op today and feeling very discouraged.  I lost 10 lbs my 1st week (not including the 13 lbs I gained in the hospital from the IV fluids).  For the past 2 weeks, I have not lost any weight at all!  I never realized I would hit my first stall after only a week.  I have read many posts from others who had surgery the first week of Jan. 2010 like me and they have all lost 16-25 lbs by now and I am stuck at 10 lbs.

What am I doing wrong?

I have followed my doctor's instructions perfectly.  I'm averaging 75-90 g/protein per day.  I have at least 48 oz of liquids. Taking all of my supp's, etc.

So put me down for a big fat zero (again!).

I never imagined I would go through this entire ordeal and end up being the one that doesn't lose very much their first month.

Thanks for listening!  I'm just really discouraged.

All the best to the rest of you!

Hang in there Cindy!  You WILL start losing again.  I know it's really frustrating to be at a stall so early out...but it will end.

Dd you end up going to Oregon?

Hi Ave Annel,

I cancelled my trip to WA because I was too nervous about getting blood clots!  My best friend understands and we will plan a weekend together this spring to celebrate both of our 40th Birthdays together.

I am up early & about to get on our new elliptical machine!  Orlando finished building it last night so I am hoping that with this increased exercise (more intense than walking), that I will jump start my weight loss.

Congratulations on losing 3 lbs this week!  You go girl!  That's awesome!  I'm so proud of you!!!

Probably a wise decision to reschedule your trip.  Better safe than sorry but I know you were really looking forward to going. You guys will have a blast in the spring.

Let me know how your eliptical time goes!  I struggle with those dang things for some reason.

Talk to you soon!
Hugs,
Ave Annel

Cindy -

I realize it is very easy to get discouraged.  Please keep your head up and stay positive.  Your scale will move and when it does you are going to be doing a happy dance because it will probably move more than you thought it would.

Hang in there darling.

Hi Annette,

WAIT!  Stop the presses!

I got on the scale in the middle of the night (I hope that still counts) and FINALLY the scaled moved after a 2 week stall.

Hopefully I am not too late to report I finally lost 3 lbs!  If you already did the math, that's fine, I don't want to cause anymore work for you, you can leave me at zero and hopefully those 3 lbs will stay gone until next Wednesday!

I am so excited!  Hooray, my first 2 week stall is officially over!

Morning Annette and Cali,

Well I am the same and I am excited about it.  I think I finally have managed to maintain for 3 weeks now.  I went to see my PCP yesterday and he was amazed (he was not in favor of me having the surgery) but put in the paperwork for me anyway.  He had a few other patients who I guess did not stick with the program!  So I am on road to maintenance now!!!

Not much going on today just work and hopefully I pick up my car from the auto body shop.  Hope you all stay dry and safe.
