Good Morning Katt and Cali friends,

Furlough day is over and it's back to work today.  I sort of enjoyed that extra day off truth be known.  Not much happening this week other than starting rehearsals up again for band.  I had my saxophone tuned a couple of weeks ago, so it will be nice to see how it's playing now.  I'll bet it sounds better and is a little easier with the new pads they put in and the adjustments they made.

I am a woodwinds player too. I play piano, clarinet and sax. I haven't played in a band for around 4 years, but wouldn't mind getting back to it someday when my job and commuting doesn't consume so much of my life. Congrats on the new pads. That will make a difference.

I put my sax down for 23 years and started playing in 1999 again, thanks to Ron *****ally encouraged me to get back with it.  He's my biggest fan!  LOL

Can't wait to try it out for a few hours on Thurs.  I did try it out when I got it home, but I really need to read some music and give it a whirl.  I also had some vinyl put on the thumb rest, so that ought to help my bonier thumb!  LOL

Got my car into the body shop yesterday hope it is done by Friday.  I don't really like to drive my small car in the rain, people don't always see you!  Ms V has a little cough today, hope she is not getting sick.  That would be about right, I am going on travel next week and DH will be alone with her!  Maybe grandma can come and stay a few days if she is getting sick.  Hopefully she is not or it passes fast.

Well folks, I have great news.  My uncle (for whom I was paying for) is not going on the cruise this upcoming May.  Last weekend, he called my cousin (and my travel agent) and told her that he was not going on the cruise because he was going to have some work done on his house in Virginia and that he needed to pay 15%, therefore; he would not have any money.  My cousin told me and I then called my uncle.  Poor thing, I guess he did not have the heart to tell me directly; but he should have known that he would have to talk to me anyway since I was paying his way.  So was I mad? No.  Disappointed? Yes.  Very happy now?  YES!!!  Why, you ask?  Because the balance I owe on the cruise is $331.00 (that's a lot better than paying $1700 to take my uncle).  I will go into a triple room with my Cousins Sharon and Kyra instead.  I will knock that out next month.  My cousin told me that my uncle might have regrets and want to go on the cruise.  She then asked what should she say if he changed his mind , I told her to tell him that he is fresh out of luck.

What a fine morning it is. Can you believe it, it is raining out. I am enjoying it, from the couch, with my coffee. I have been out in it already. All of this rain is making the weeds in my yard grow faster. I think I will be overtaken by then in the back yard. I'm sure I could lose a small child back there. Not much going on with me today. I have my photograpy class tonight, and I need to do some homework before I go. It is so hard to get modivated when it is grey and raining out. Well, I hope you all have a great day.

Eileen, good luck with the homework for the photography class. I am feeling the same way about the gray and drizzly sky. I think I am in a bit of a funk.

I am kind of depressed with having a crazy frantic schedule this week. Starting yesterday, I have 4 days of working 10-13 hour days in a row. When you add a 2 hour round trip commute, there isn't time left to exercise, sleep, pet my cats, hug the husband, read the paper and just do something mindless. I also tend to reach out to food as a comfort when I am this busy. It's so easy to eat while sitting at my desk or in the car. I am drinking lots of de-caf tea, sucking on hard candy and taking lots of deep breaths.

I hope your Tuesday is going well. I am counting the minutes until I am home again around 9 pm.

Good afternoon everyone.  I spent the day with my grand kids.  Devan had shots yesterday so she was a bit on the cranky side.  Ryan played his drum a lot.  That kid loves music. He watches the Baby Einstein DVD's and plays his drum or tambourine, or other little instruments. He will sometimes conduct.  He told me last week that he wants a trumpet, violin, and a bass! Oh well that is it for now.  Everyone have a great evening.
