Hello, this is DeeDee, and Luana wanted me to let you know what is going on.

As you know,  she hurt her ankle and was in a walking cast/boot. She was also on crouches and believe it or not, she was doing as the doctor ordered about 80% of the time. On Friday morning, get ready to go to work, she feel. (the crouch slipped because the ground was wet) She went down, but was able to get up and did t seem hurt in any way. Until she went to use the crouches again, and pain shot through her hand. We didn't knnow this but her thumb was hurt big time, (no more hick hiking for her) She went to work and worked the whole 12 hours. (She is suck a dork) We went to the urgent care Friday night, but the place was ZOO, so after her whinning for about an hour, we left. Saturday morning she went to the farms market and was gone all day. By the time she got home, she thumb was 4 times normal sizes, so off to urgent care we went again.  This time, things where not so bad and that was when we found out the great news. She has Tenosynovitis. Tenosynovitis is inflammation of the sheath that surrounds a tendon (the cord that joins muscle to bone). It can be caused by an injury or by repeating a movement over and over, such as in knitting, lifting objects, or playing video games. Rarely, an infected wound can cause it. This condition often affects the tendons in the thumb and the wrist.  She now she can not use the crouches to get around and she cant use her right hand because she is in a brace, that matches her right foot.

She says there is very little pain, but if you know her, shes lying. She also says she is going to work tomorrow.. To do what I don't know. But I am sure she will do as she says. LOL She is suck a dork.

Anyway, I wrote this because she told me. I was told to make it funny, but there is nothing funny about the pain I know she is, but wont do any thing about it....

Wow, you two over there.  My goodness.  Please I hope that she pays a little attention to what the doctor says and she heals.  Thank you so much for taking the time to post this too.  Both of you take care.

Hugs and love, Diane

Dee Dee, tell your dorky sister that I said she needs to rest and take it easy so she will get better. No one is impressed with her tough-girl act, and we would all prefer it if she was feeling better.

If she gets mad, tell her she can drive out to Whittier to have it our with me and if she can chase me and catch me she is more than welcome to kick my butt. :D

Take care of your sis, ok?

Hi Dee Dee,

Thanks for letting us know about "Super Girl".  Damn I don't know what I'm going to do with her.  But you tell her that if she overdoes it, I will come hobbling over with my cane and whack her and she knows I'll do it.

If she feels up to it, tell her to call me.  I'm at work all day but home in the evening.  Also tell her I love her and I'd hobble all over the place with her.

Steph

P.S.  Glad to see that you seem to be doing a bit better.  You have certainly had us all worried here.  Now you two take care of each other.

Hi DeeDee, thanx for letting us know about LuLu...I was beginning to worry about her. She just can't catch a break, I tell ya. I told her crutches were EVIL. Please let her know that I am thinking of her and I will try to call tomorrow.

I am glad that you seem to be doing better. I know you've had a rough go of it as well.

Hugs to you both, and take care of each other.
