Just wanted to say Hi and connect with other Californians.  I'm having Lap RNY on Monday Jan 25.  Excited, nervous, scared...you name it.  I'm sure many of you can relate.  I'm not doubting my decision, just a little scared about the surgery.  In the course of seeking information, I've read about a lot of complications.  My surgeon is Dr. Justin Braverman.  Anyone else that has had him?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to becoming part of this community and gleaning from your experience and hopefully make some friends along the way!

Welcome to the Cali Board!  Everyone here is really helpful.  All of the emotions you are feeling are very normal. Everyone has a different experience and are more than willing to share. Good luck on Monday and keep us posted on your surgery.  Anytime you have a question or just want to talk to someone just get on line!

Hi!  Welcome to the Cali board.  I had Dr. Brian Quebbemann who is in the same practice.  Where are you having surgery?  Dr. Braverman was the assistant surgeon when I had mine.  They assist each other, so you are in good hands.  Being scared is a normal feeling...excited etc.

Anyways, you will meet a lot of nice, supportive people here.  Wishing you a speedy and uneventfull recovery and ready to make room for you on the loser's bench!
