Another newbie saying hello

Although I'm not necessarily new to the site, I joined last year, I am new to this WLS journey.  I decided to pursue lap-band and could sure use some friends who have been thru the same things I've been thru and am going to be going thru.  Look forward to chatting.

Hi there!  I am also hoping to get the lap-band.  I am only just now making appts with docs.  Have you been through any of that yet?

Interesting - What did they refer you to?  I'm just now starting to look for a surgeon, and I have no idea who is good/not good.  I have an appt with my regular doc to see if there's anyone he recommends and next week I'm going for a consult with someone in Glendale so we'll see.  I wish us both luck, glad to see I'm not the only "newbie" around in this area.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but if you look across the top of the board, you will see where it says forms. That has a drop down with other forms on it. In there you should be able to find the Lap Band form. There you will find lots of other lap bander.

Of course you are always welcome here, and there are lots of other bander here that can help with any question you might have, I just thought you would get faster replies.

Welcome . . .I'm a lap bander and happy to help with any questions I can . . . it's a long journey - but so worth it!  I wouldn't trade it for anything!  I've got a new lease on life - my blood pressure is way down - I can walk without a cane . . . I can chase my grandbabies around . . . and I can smile!  Yea for you and your decisions to follow through - enjoy the journey and keep us posted on how you are doing!
