Just starting...

So I've just started looking into the lap band and I really don't know where to start - I'm on info overload. Has anyone here ever used Dr. Quilici in Burbank?  (Not sure how many people on this board are from Southern Cali).  Aside from that, can anyone who has had lap band share any stories about how it's been for you?

Info overload sound like you are doing your home work. Good for you.

As for questions, (I am not running you off I promise) there is a lap band form here where you can go and ask tons of questions. There are few banders here and I am sure they will answer any question you might have.

But you are welcome here, and I am not trying to run you off. I just thought that you would more help there. But do stay around, and come to some of the events. We are a good bunch of people, and most of are friendly, (jus****ch out for Rhonda, not sure if she has had her shoots)

Hi Gina . . . I had lapband almost a year ago (12-3) . . . and am very happy with my results.  We are slower than bypass - but I like the "turtle method" and am feeling so much better than this time last year.  Let me know what questions you have - and I'll do my best to come up with answers for you!

If you can this weekend, there is a huge gathering at Tom's Farms - see Steve's note below . . . it would be great for you to get there if you can and meet lots of people!  I can't make it - but there are lots of great people there to get to know and learn from!  Do it if you can!

Thank you both!  I wish I could make it to the event - that would have been perfect, but I'm booked  - Maybe next time.

Chris - do you feel the band/port at all??  I know that seems like a strange question, but I just imagine that you would feel the port and if you do, is it annoying or do you not feel it or notice it at all?

L - thank you also - I have checked out the lap band board, but came here to see if there were any locals that had had it too
