Come on, you know you want to. :)

The Long Beach Turkey Trot  10/5k is quickly approaching on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, 2008 at the Belmont Pool in Belmont Shore, just two blocks east of the Belmont Pier.

More details:  http://www.turkeytrot.us/

4,000 runners AND walkers of ALL LEVELS OF ABILTY are expected. You can even bring your kids for the 1/4 mile Wing Ding.  This is a really fun way to challenge yourself and start the day in a healthy way that is usually reserved for gorging yourself on turkey.

Random finishers will receive an infamous HOLIDAY PIE that we like to joke about so much....I doubt they're sugar-free. Consider yourself warned!

5k/10k begins at 7:30am

10k begins at 8:30am

5k begins at 9:30

I'm still not sure which event I'll enter, if I decide to keep a newbie company I'll do the 5k.

So who's ready for some pie?!?!?!?!?!?

Oh, I thought about it!!!!

I could do (2) 5ks and double my chances of scoring a pie...there's only 350 pies given out though.

I'm on angel duty Saturday morning, but yes...I've heard that running on sand is a killer workout. I want to try it.
They also have beach bootcamp I''d like to try.
