Edameme, or however you spell it, some string cheese and lots of water, so I can wake Doug up all night so I can go P!!!!

And for Doug, he is seriously trying to diet....I am so proud of him.

I only had my protein drink this morning as I had to have nothing to eat for my ultrasound of the gallbladder.  Damn thing's gone south so they're scheduling it's removal.

So............... when I got home I had a fried egg and a sausage patty.  Now I am a happy camper.  Quick, easy and yummy.

Maureen,

For your own survival until the gallbladder comes out, stay away from fatty foods and eggs, unless it's just the white.  Eat bland and as fat free as possible.  You'll save yourself alot of pain until then.

Taco soup, my favorite thing these days!  I missed it so much during those first 6 months, when I couldn't eat any starches!  It's basically like a chili, made with Rotel tomatoes with chilis, kidney beans, black bean, pinto beans, corn or hominy, black olives, and some kind of lean meat.  I usually make it with chicken, but I made it with lean ground beef this time, and it is so yummy!

I bought this Curry Simmer Sauce from Trader Joes, added some chicken breast, squash and onions.  YUM!!!

NOW what you have sounds delish too...once my freezer is empty I might just have to try it.

For my family I made all the fixins for chicken tostadas...including a pot of fresh made beans (pinto).  I had pintos n cheese with just a dollop of sour cream.  I have these neat  veggie chips and veggie stix (made from pured veggies and soy flour..neat item!) ...they make a great companion with  an added touch of crunch!
