Duodenal Switch surgeon

Hi All,

I am interested in finding a surgeon who does the Duodenal Switch in Orange County, CA.  Has anyone here had this type of surgery and can refer me and also give me your thoughts on this particular surgery?  I have been doing research on the DS forum and am heading to the revision forum next!  I am in a toss up between choosing the RNY or the DS. =)

You may wish to check out DuodenalSwitch.com for a list of surgeons. There are quite a few excellent surgeons in California.

I personally chose the DS because I wanted to have the maximum weightloss and the least possible regain. You can check my profile for my surgery information.

The only DS surgeon in Southern California is Dr. Crookes at USC.  There are several of his DS patients who post over on the Duodenal Switch forum her on OH.  Come on over and introduce yourself.

No DS surgeons in O.C.

I must profess my BROMANCE for Dr crookes, he can do no wrong in my opinion. He didn't do a DS on me but he did my sleeve. The one huge advantage with him is he does the RNY DS and VSG and can give you an honest opinion since he does them all and doesn't need to push you one way or the other. Simple honest straight and to the point facts w/o the BS.
