Thanks All, My NUT appt. went well! (long)
To all of those who have helped see me thru thus far in my Journey.. THANK YOU!
I went to see my NUT for the first time today, and was very worried..
Overall, I think she was impressed by the amount knowledge I had concerning my WLS, expectations, etc. (Credit given to all my fellow OH'ers you rock
)
There are some things, in my Food Diary she didn't care for, but addressed them with care, and helped show me what I could be doing better, so for that I thank her.
I learned that your starch portion should be no bigger than the size of one fist, that a portion size of veges should equal two of your fists, and that your protein portion should be no bigger than the size of your palm.. (with out your fingers)
Some may already know this, but I thought I would share to help newbies, or those who just didn't know.. (not saying you have to follow this, just putting out there what I learned, use it as you will)
Anywho, I was happy to have met her, and I look forward to seeing her at one of our support group meetings. (she goes to some of the ones I will be attending)
So now I wait... Uggg that is so hard... I have my appt. with Dr. V on the 20th. Hopefully all my tests, psych eval (which I know that one is fine) and NUT (again know I am good there) well mainly my labs, x-ray, and EKG come out fine, and I will be able to submit everything to the insurance co. that day!!! I hope I hope I hope!
So again, thank you all for your help, and support, you really do make this process easier to deal with.
P.S. I introduced her to PB2, she didn't even know about it, and was excited.. I also told her what a help Melting Mama, and Eggface were to us OH'ers, and she absolutely loved that... Way to go girls! And thanks for all that you do...

Hey girl!
It was so nice talking to you tonight! I can't wait to see you on Thursday night!
It sounds like your appointment went great, you've really done your homework! I had completely forgotten about PB2; I remember hearing about it but I never tried it-I will have to check it out!
See you soon!

That's awesome Jenn!!! IT shouldn't be too much longer now... =) xoxoxo
