Thank you Leann - I know he is the best - ) Hyperventilating eventually leads to passing out which doesn't sound to bad right now! LOL!
Thanks to you and all others on this board for your help and support. I will be in touch once I get home. You and the others are all beautiful inside and out.

Lori,

Welcome to the board.  I am sure your feelings are quite normal, but you are in good hands.  I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.  You will be a pro by the time I have my surgery in January.  We're with you all the way!

That is so sweet - thank you and I will think of you as I know the anxiety, frustration, etc. of the waiting. By the time you get to this point - meltdown I know, is not uncommon!  I will talk to you again soon!
thanks for thinking of me:)

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEW ADVENTURE!!!

Dr. Boone did both mine and my husband's surgery in Feb & March this yr. You can read my profile for more details, but you have a GREAT surgeon with A LOT of experience. YOU WILL DO GREAT!!

Don't ru**** - If you have ANY questions, need to vent or talk, you can call me anytime on my cell (916) 212-3331 or e-mail me.

Take Care and stop stressing :) It is an AMAZING process and, while the first week is the worst, you will get through it and it gets easier all the time.

Good Luck,
Diana

Diana - I am so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I went back to work too early and now I am on disability pretty much for making myself have panic attacks and depression has set in. I have some good meds so am getting better. Dr says it is post traumatic stress with the surgery and all the changes. But you know Dr Boone and he is the best so surgery itself actually went fine. I think that guy could do it with his eyes closed.
Thank you for your offer call me if you would like as well  559-719-9437 -surgery was 11/11 and I am still adjusting and have partially quit hating my decision.

Glad that the surgery went well. Sorry for the other issues, but it seems you are getting a handle on things. Like with many other challenges, "one day at a time", is sometimes the best you can do.

Keep doing what you are doing and focus on the positive.

Try to attend the support meetings if you can. They are moving to Heart Hospital so there will be plenty of room. Regardless of subject, it helps to be around people who are going through many of the same things.

Good Luck and feel free to contact me.

Diana
