How's everyone? I've missed you!
Hi guys! I've missed everyone so much! Work has been so busy, and I just never seem to make time to post lately! I posted earlier today to encourage everyone to support Lori in her upcoming surgery, and was amazed by all the new faces, and all the skinnier faces! Everyone is doing wonderfully!
I added some stuff to my blog tonight, mainly about how my self image is slowly changing, and how weird it is not to identify as "fat" anymore. Part of it is really cool, but there is also part of me that kind of grieves my connection with heavier women. I've always really liked books like "The Fat Girl's Guide to Life" and movies like "Babycakes". Not that I don't still love that kind of stuff and totally oppose size discrimination, but I'm not quite part of that "Us" anymore. Does that make sense?
I posted a before and after picture that I took with a friend, too. I have to admit, I've always cringed at the way I've looked so significantly bigger than pretty much anyone I'm in a picture with. So this most recent picture makes me pretty happy, because I look fairly normal next to my friend! LOL!
Oh, I've got to get to bed! But I just wanted to say hi! And remember, you all are invited to come and visit me in Monterey anytime! I'm loving it here!
