I have found...........
That I can eat more. It really scares me. I also have found that I can eat the fun size candy (only one) and not get sick.......that is really bad for me cuz I am a sweets person. Has anyone else found that they can eat more or eat sugar/sweets? If so what helps you not eat so much and stay away from sugar?
Yes to all your questions, and I can eat more than one of those damn small candy bars. l love my chocolate, and it just has never left me. But what stops me from eating it all the time, the old 400 lbs woman I once was. I NEVER ever want to look or feel like that again. I was a diabetic for 4 years before surgery so it would be so easy for me to be "bad" again, but the images of me before, just ain't pretty. That is my modivation!!!!!!!
Take good care,

I am with Joy.... I have not dumped and I sure dont want to.
I also lovvvvvvve chocolate, so I cannot even consider putting that into my mouth because I would be off and running.
I know people in my Kaiser Class that are only a couple weeks ahead of me with their surgery, but they are eating candy, frozen yogurt, egg fu young and chips. I have to ask myself what they are thinking and why would they sabbotage themselves and soooo early after surgery.
Please get rid of the candy bars!!! Remember they only lead to destruction!!

Hi Sweeny,
That is exactly what I see people doing, even here on the boards. Just a few months out wanting to know if frozen yogurt is good, can we have this or have that. To me, those are the people who are going to fail at WLS. What we are given is just a tool, it's how we use it depends on what we still shove in our mouths. I for one am no angel, but I weight myself everyday, because just the smell of some foods can put 2 pounds on me. I am a slow loser, have been from day one, so why do I want to go backwards? I am with you all the way, why bother to have your insides rerouted to cheat, it's not going to make you thin just because you had surgery. It's work, period!
Take care, Diane

Hi Willa,
Yes to all of them I am sorry to say. Three and half years later I can eat a lot more garbage in more quantity them right after my surgery.
I still can't eat as much as before surgery and I still stay away from fast food and soda, but I wish the dentist would just pull that damn sweet tooth and be done with it. I can eat more sweets with every year that passes. I have to be very careful and be very religious to my workouts, which are on hold now while I am recover from PS.
Just hang in there my friend and remember why you did this in the first place and how far you have come.
Love ya

Yes, I found out alittle sugar won't hurt me...NOT!!! I regained 25 pounds after hitting goal. Sugar, carbs, and some fried foods did it to me. I found out what I could handle then go to the max of what old pouchie would put up with!!! It took me having my second heart attack to really wake me up on that one. I still will eat sugar (I limit it to about 1 teaspoon per day). I'll have fried (1/3 of a hamburger over a day's period), and some carbs. But I have really cut back on all three. Finding out you don't dump on sugar is probably the worst thing that can happen to RNY people. Don't know what it will take for you to straighten up and fly right, but if you don't get a handle on this quickly...you know where it will lead. Brian
