Update on yesterdays consult. I've got a surgery date........

Hey everyone, I went to my consult yesterday. It only took 3.5hrs. Everything went great. I'm accepted for surgery. They would like me to lose weight and get to at least 400 lbs if not lower. No problem I can do it. I have 7 different tests to do. Also a nutrition class and the one on one with the nutritionist. I asked Dr. William Fuller to be my surgeon and he gladly accepted. He was very impressed of the knowledge I've learned about the RNY for pre-op and post-op care. They set a date of April 7, 2009. Yes I know it seems far away. It's better to set it a little far out then to set it close and not meet the requirements for the surgery. I already have it set in my mind that the date will be changed for an earlier surgery date then what was schedule. I know that I can do this and its gonna take hard work. But after the pre surgery weight loss, I will be 117 lbs lighter from my heaviest weight of 517 lbs in March 2008. Thanks for all the support OH family, I appreciate your comments.

Congratulations, we can celebrate the New Year with our surgeries together!  I started with my consult and tests in July and time has flown by.  You're going to do great!
