new to have san diego...any suggestions on facilities or docs

My primary care and I agree and Im moving forward with bariatric surgery.  He suggestted Sharp, I have tricare standard and someone suggested Balboa and someone else alvarado.  They are all the same to me as I dont know any of them.  Im looking for feedback from people that have used them.

I had mine by Dr. Alan Wittgrove (Carnie Wilson's surgeon). He was associated with Alvarado at one time and made the move to Scripps which is a Center of Excellence certified facility. Alvarado's high rating is due to Dr. Wittgrove's work from the past.

He pioneered the lap rny procedure and has the highest credentials. His center is located at Scripps in La Jolla. I'm actually going there next month for my two year follow-up. I can only give him as well as all his staff a glowing recommendation.

I live in Poway and I used Dr. Zorn at Pacific Bariatric, which is part of Scripps and uses Scripps Mercy!  I highly recommend any of those doctors and the hospital, all excellent!!!!

I am also from San Diego, well La Mesa actually, and I had my surgery at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. Loved 'em!!! Dr. Tanaka is a gem and such a funny man.

I also used a surgeon from Pacific Bariatrics and went to Scripps Mercy.  The other 2 that posted before me said it all.  Those surgeons are the best!!!!!!!!!!
