SHOOTING PAINS IN MY BREAST'S?????

Ever since I started loosing weight, my girls have gone south…and I mean as south as south can get, but now that I have lost close to or at 100 pounds I now get very sharp pains shooting down the out side of the breast’s…from under the arm pit down the side.  It feels like the tissue tearing. OUCH!!!!  As long as I wear a bra (24/7) I don't have the pain.  But, if I don't have support...whoohoo, does it hurt!!!!!  Before I lost weight I was a 44DD now I am a 36DD…Yes the cup size has not changed.  I even went to Lane Byrant to get sized cuz I thought for sure I was a smaller cup size, but oh no they have just gotten longer!! lol… I do have a consultation with Dr. Katzen at the OH event this Saturday and I want to talk to him, 1) about the shooting pains and 2) a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. I know it is early to talk about the tummy tuck, since I am only 7 months out, but I am hoping he would do the breast reduction, due to the pains I am having.

Has anyone every had or have these pains?  Any suggestion of what could be causing the sharp shooting pains??

Thank you....Michele

My girls, thelma and lousie,  have looked like crap forever.  They are so far south they are starting to speak spanish.   I am sure that it is from the hanging that your are getting pains, especially if they are on each side in the same areas.  Never too early to have it done.  Especially if you are having problems.  I saw a plastic surgeon not that long ago and we spoke about a breast reduction too.  I have gone from a 58dd to a 44ddd.  But it's all skin, nothing solid.  My insurance would pay for a reduction, BUT I would end up being an A cup.  So implants will not be paid for by insurance.  Check with several doctors and see what can be done.  IF the pain stops because you are wearing a bra all the time, sounds like muscle or just tissue.  Try finding a really good and supportive sports bra, see if they would be more comfortable for sleeping.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hugs, Diane

Hi Diane,  You are so funny....  I know what you mean, mine have also become mulilingual.  Thank you for the advice about wearing a supportive sports bra to bed, that would be much more comfortable.

Are you going this weekend?

OUCH is all I can say...and look forward to meeting you. I am going to be there Saturday morning early and spending that night there too! I am a former patient of Katzen who did all my body surgery. You will feel very comfortable in the consultation.
