We are all doing great Janine, thanks for asking!  My Sis and Bro in law took the kids for us this weekend so that Mike and I could have some time alone.  It was the first time since he has been back!  Anyway, we had a really nice time together and got to sleep in a little on Sunday morning.

About my schooling~ I got a scholarship for medical transcription training  from a group that gives out scholarships for military spouses and I am supposedly going to hear the "official" word about it this week. (along with Cheri~ mamaharen)  I guess they will do some sort of ceremony to present us with the scholarship? Not really clear about it all.  I am just anxious to get something going~ I feel like I have been sitting around doing nothing for too long!

Anyway, my boy is hungry.  Off to make him a sandwich.

Janine- thank you for the shout out.  I should have some pictures ready by next week of some finished items.  I remember that you asked about the commission piece.  Well, the gentleman hasn't called me up so I can quote him a price, measure him or get a downpayment from him.  When he is ready, I'll be ready.  As long as he is not ready in mid-December saying he wants it by the 25th.  I have to check out Caron's website to see if they have another color that I can use as a subsitute for the color that was changed.  I need to get this afghan done.

The weekend was busy.  Yesterday, I spent the day with my brother.  We went to a movie, "The Secret of the Bees" and had dinner.  Saturday, I went to the knit shop. Friday afternoon, I took off early and went to the knit shop for a breast cancer fundraiser.

FYI- I will be at the LA Event on Friday and Sunday .  I have a hair appointment on Saturday.

Good morning everybody...and thank you for the shout out, Janine. 
I am feeling much better, HELL has left me and returned to it's rightful place..lol  I am quite comfortable, except for some fatigue, I am doing as expected, maybe even better,  I sip much faster than I should, yet have no trouble keeping my fluids in place.  I am dropping some of the the water weight, I even found wrinkles in my wrists again!!..lol  I do need to mention to the doctor that I have a phlebitis type situation in my forearm stemming from an infiltrated and clotted IV, which was subsequently changed to a much more comfortable (if that is at all possible) position.  I can trace the swollen vein from the top of my hand, under my forearm all the way to the elbow.  Sure makes it hard to lean over on a table or set my arm on a chair.  I also discovered that 1 Tylenol, crushed, takes away a headache in less than 5 minutes...I am supposing because of the quick absorption we now posses.  I love that...headache...back to sleep...5 minutes....priceless!!
Janine. I hope many of us from the IE can make a field trip up your way to see the mural....I'd love to see a work of art and beauty that will outlive me!  Pamper those pinkies now!!

If it were Friday, we'd be on the road!  I can't wait.. lol

Great call out Janine!  109 miles isn't so bad.  We're heading to Moreno Valley to see hubby's folks afterwards so we'll practically be a lot closer from there.  I'll get directions once we're in L.A.  I'd so love to see your mural masterpiece!

We had a hectic weekend but things have settled down.  We'll go to neighbors and collect our frozen goods to put in the new freezer today.  My friend is back in town so we'll go for a walk along the river run.  We also need to get started cutting through the roots that are surrounding the septic tank. 

This week I go to see my diabetic councellor to tell her I don't have diabetes anymore. :)
I'm getting my hair permed again, it's been straight as a board for 2 months.   If it's too soon, someone please stop me.  The hairdresser couldn't tell me how long I should wait after surgery before having another perm...

Not too much on tap for me today, just work and then I have to stop by my storage unit and see if I can dig up our boxes of photos. I have a ton of pics I havent scanned yet and we want to make a photo slideshow for the wedding Saturday.

This weekend went by in a blink!

Went to the spa and salon and had to trek out to the new Marshalls grand opening! Score! Three pair of fall/winter pants (in Jrs dept), a DKNY jacket vest and a True Religion black velour hoodie... OMG!

Yesterday I went with my roomie to find her a costume... and I scored again... needed another costume for hitting the clubs after the Hurwitz halloween party at the OH event. I didn't think I could fit my costume in a car seat with me in it let alone attempting to dance. Thank you 30% off Target! Oh, and a friend came over and fixed a couple of things at my house... he said if there's anything else I need fixed he'd come over. So, I'm making the honey-do list. lol!

Today, waiting for my materials to come in so I can get a jump on my layouts. Other than that cleaning up and organizing today.

I'm taking Friday off, So looking forward to the OH event!

Happy Monday Janine & Cali Crew,
    thanks for the shout-out!  Janine I don't know if I shared this with you before but my Mom is 6 months post breast cancer so your mural project really touched my heart!  She had to have a masectomy and 6 months of chemo and then radiation- she is a true warrior and I thank God everyday that she made it through this terrible disease.  What a tribute that you made for her, and one that her family and friends can visit and remember her.  You are truly a wonderful human being Janine, I wish there were more like you in this world!
   It has been absolutely beautiful weather here- like in the 80-s every day- looks like we will start cooling off by the end of the week.  I will say I do miss the heat and all of the swimming, so now it will be time to hit the indoor pool! 
    I am doing great, keeping really busy helping with the grandkids- my oldest started kindergarten and I am helping in the class on Wednesday's.  I am down 98 pounds now and in a size 10 or 12 depending on the brand.  I am still basking in all of the glorious things I can now do and dream about the fun things to come!
