Thanks everyone!

I will check the juice drink tomorrow, I have them at work.  I thought it was better than NOT doing a protein drink, but maybe not?

I do drink all my water daily, that is one thing I DO stick to and try very hard to keep up with.  It's just the eating I'm stuck with.

I appreicate all the suggestions and will follow up with the juice thing tomorrow :)

First I would suggest that you journal what you are eatting for about a week.  To me there are a couple of ussues. One seems that you are not eatting enough.  What protein are you doing?  WHat kind of carbs and calories are in that smoothie????
HOw mu water are you getting in and how much exercise.  Yeah you walked for 8 hours at Dland but you need to have at least 30 minutes of sustained cardiovascular exercise.
Then you said that you stop and pick something up on your way home from work.  What exactly are you picking up and eatting.  Many times food that is prepared else where may actually have a ton of hidden calories too.
You may need to plan things like whole foods ( chicken, veggies.)  What ever your hubby can eat  being that he is picky can you eat what he eats?
This is my 2 cents worth.

Ok the smoothie is;

Naked  Juice 15.2 oz.

Protein juice smoothie

30 grams of protein for whole thing

whey and soy protein

total 440 calories for whole thing

56 grams of sugar for whole thing

68 grams of carbs for whole thing

I now see this could be a problem, but it's the only protein drink I can stomach!  Grrrr.

Holy Crap, all that sugar and carbs and you ain't dumping?????  Just reading that made me want to run to the bathroom.  Far too many of everything, including calories!  But also, at 2 weeks I went into a stall, we all have them.  Dump those drinks, if you can't drink protein drinks then get it from other sources, like food, slow and easy.  It does come off if you stick with the program.  When you get to these stalls, start writing down everything you eat, good idea to do that all the time, and watch those carbs and sugars.

Good luck, Diane

Apparently I don't "dump" lol  I still have my stomach of steel, which is good or bad.  Depending on how you look at it.

I've puked a couple of times, b/c I didn't chew well enough but that's it really.

But then again, I haven't eaten any "junk" food since surgery or drank alcohol or whatever.  I'm trying to be good!

But I guess that smoothie wasn't the best option.   I just saw it as a way to get 30 grams of protein in a day, since I don't eat much.

I'm doing "daily plate" now and see that I really don't eat much, lol  But I'm not hungry and I don't feel like force feeding myself.  I'm trying though to SEE what I'm doing and that helps, a food diary.

Ok, did my first daily plate in awhile and it seems I'm not eating enough.  *sigh*

I THINK I'm supposed to be at 700 calories a day right now, and yesterday was 535.  I still can't believe I'm eating that little and living, lol

I don't know how I'm supposed to get that number up, I eat when I'm hungry.

So, I guess maybe I'm in starvation mode???  Anyone know how that works?

Up your water, up your protein and drop the sugar and carbs.

Try to think  - protein first everytime something besides water goes in your mouth.

Be wary of foods you can just pick up on the way home. They are full of things you don't even know about and lots of sodium too.

Try some Greek yogurt for breakfast it's loaded with protein. You can add sweetner and fresh fruit.

All I pretty much eat IS protein!  I drink my water too.

The only thing that may not be protein is occasionally I'll have a sugar-free popsicle.  But that's it.

And when I say stopping to pick someting up, it's usally El Pollo Loco either a ceasar bowl or breastessss.  Or Carls Jr chicken sandwich sans bread...So even picking stuff up, I'm aware of what I'm getting.

Oh well, we'll see.  I don't know how I'm going to squeeze in another 200 calories a day, eating like this, lol

Thanks!

Did your DR tell you to up your calories? If not I wouldn't worry. I was never told to eat a certain amount, just to eat protein first followed by a few bites of veggies or fruit and then if I had room carbs.

Aren't SF popcicle's wonderful? I ate a lot those first few months.

Its in the plan I have, I will have to double check it tonight, but I'm pretty sure it's 700 calories now.

Some have suggested I'm not eating enough so I don't know.   It's been 2 weeks, maybe it will get moving soon, hopefully :)

Yes, love the popcicles!!  YUMMY!
