Xpost: need help, not losing!
I'm having trouble, I'm 1 1/2 months out, have lost 42-45 pounds depending on the day, but this has been the same for 2 weeks now.
I'm wondering if I'm eating too much or not eating enough??
I ONLY eat protein really. I haven't had anything bad, no cookies, cakes etc..
Breakfast is usually a fat free yogurt
lunch is some sort of meat, chicken breast, tuna etc
Dinner is the more difficult one, it's hard coordinating with DH since he is a odd eater.
We have resorted again to "picking something up" on the way home from work, instead of cooking. We're not big cookers.
I don't know what to do, what I'm doing wrong, but I've stopped dropping. I'm still walking a few times a week. Just walked for 8 hours at Disneyland yesterday... and that was a WOW for me, cuz I couldn't do that before if my life depended on it!
I'm going to start daily plating it again and see where I'm going wrong. I haven't been doing milk based protein shakes, I've been buying them in the smoothie section, its a fruit juice based protein, 30 grams in one shake and I drink that throughout the day. I can't take the other shakes anymore they make me want to vomit.
Oh and I've been constipated, I go maybe 1x a week and I'm working on that.
So, sorry for the ramble but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I eat until I'm satisfied or I just 'forget" to keep eating and then put it away.
Any suggestions, Please?

First I think I would dump the juice smoothie things. How many grams of carbs are in those things? Also if you aren't eating enough you will stop losing cause your body thinks you are starving it. Do a diary and or go to fitday .com. As far as you and hubby eating different things. We do in this house everyday. And our grocery bill is half of what it was!! Some nights I just do Lean Cuisine the low carb ones, usaually chicken and veggies only in them. But I do those whenI just can't face the kitchen.
Oh and by the way I stopped losing for almost 2 week at about the same time as you .

It sounds to me like you aren't eating enough. And how is your water intake? Because that has a lot to do with your WL. The protein shakes make me feel sick also, so my doctor said I really didn't have to worry about the shakes since my protein level is "wonderful". lol. But if I feel like I didn't have as much protein as I should of that day, I will drink a half of a protein bullet. Look now I'm rambling! lol. But yeah, keep track of your food and water intake! Best of luck!!

I love my RNY! Find me on myspace myspace.com/bebe_girl209 but be sure to tell me your from OH!
30 g per shake is a lot. Mine have 1-2g.
Having said that, we all lose at different rates. I've lost 48 lbs in 3.5 months. I stick under 650 calories, 20g fat and 20g carbs a day. Protein varies between 70 and 100g. I exercise daily. I lose 5 or 6 lbs then it's 1-2 lbs a week for a while. I've just accepted that that's my losing pattern and try not to stress about it.
Congratulations on 8 hours of walking, my feet hurt thinking about walking that much ;-)
I'm always constipated since surgery. I take Dulcolax once a day whether I want to or now. lol
Stick to daily plate or fitday. Plan out your day so you know what the day will be like and stick to it. I have trouble when I forget about my plan. Eating out is fine, but it has to be planned. You're not drinking with meals, right?
I use my pedometer and get as close to 10,000 steps a day as I can. That helps too.
Holler any time you need to. I've had my share of down moments because of my slow losses. No worries, it does continue even if it's not as fast as I'd like.

30 grams of protein is too much? I drink it throughout the day, I thought it was pretty good, lol
I think I'm not eating enough thinking about it and I think the constipation adds to the gain/stability.
We'll see.
Thanks everyone!

Just wondering what that means?? Does it have alot of sugar or carbs? During this time your body is holding onto it's weight...thinking your starving it. As you sip sip sip you soon will be peeing out the weight really soon. Also movement of any kind will help. From washing the car to cleaning a room to walking should help with the weightloss. Patients...back to basics and soon you'll be dropping more weight than your mind can wrap around. Brian

A few ideas for you.
Try buying low card tv dinners if you don't cook. You also may want to be sure you are getting the correct ammount of protein, also besure to read lables. Fruit juice based protien I am sure has a lots of carbs and sugars, those add calories. Be sure you are drinking your H2O. Make sure you are getting your fiber intake in, this will help your contipation. Give a call to your drs dietician and go in for a visit, be sure and take a food log with you. Talk with them about all your issues they can help you come up with a plan.
Remember we all hit platues and it can happen at different times. Do sweat it just evaluate whats going on. Remember we have all been there at one time or another.
