Leak Test?

Does anyone know if Kaiser does a leak test?  I had my pre-op appt. today and my Dr didnt mention it.  I was talking to a friend and she had a leak test but she has a different ins.

All doctors are different. I have Kaiser and they didnt, but that doesnt mean your surgeon doesnt. You need to ask them.

My surgeon did the leak test at the end of surgery. I only know this because I woke up with GREEN hair!! It was at the bottom, in the back!~ I laughed and considered it my badge of courage. It washed out, so no worry here. But I agree with Nikki, it woulkd be a surgeon's decision, not your insurance. Have to make sure you are sealed up with no leaks. I am very glad they did it.

I had my surgery at Kaiser in Fremont and the Dr. did a leak test at the time of surgery and then again the next day. Hope this helps!
