Hope you hear soon!  I'll be interested in how it goes for you since I have the same insurance.  I got a call from Memorial to schedule my pre-op class.  Question, have you met with the dietician yet?  Do you have to do that before they submit to insurance?  I can get into the dietician until 12/5 and yet they were putting down that I'd have surgery in Dec.  That seems kind of tight if I have to see the dietician first.  I've had everything else done.
I'm actually not too concerned with the time frame right now since I don't want to have the surgery until mid January.  Because my Blue Shield is a PPO with an HSA, I don't want to take all the money out of my HSA to meet my deductible in December and then turn around and have a new deductible starting in January.  If I wait until January, my deductible would be met for the year so that any other medical expenses are paid for.  I'm talking about a $6,000 deductible.  As much as I'd like to have the surgery as soon as possible, I'd be foolish not to wait until January.  Still, I want to have my approval as soon as possible.

Anyway, I hope you hear your approved next week!  Wouldn't that be great!
