Hi there Cali friends.............

I will most likely get to advance to the "mushie" stage on Thursday and I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to it as you could imagine....  I was wondering what some of you were eating at this time and what great ideas you may have so that I do not get bored and frustrated.

Thanks!  Jeni

Thanks Jillie!

Bean and Bacon Soup sounds great....I'm not sure about the cottage cheese though.  I have never really been a fan although I must admit I've only tried it a few times.  Is there one brand maybe better than another that I should try?

Thanks!

We have always bought Knudsen in the pink container.  It is the 2% lowfat stuff, but lately I have been buying Trader Joes.  It is yummy too and way cheaper.

Hugs to you

Hi Jeni,

Canned soy beans, pureed, 1 packet Taco Bell taco seasoning.  So GOOD.  (remember there isn't a Taco Bell within 2 hours here)  .  You can add ground turkey too, but puree it along with the soy beans after browning.  I loved their pintos and cheese when I did get out of town.  Also Chevy's refried beans with Cotija cheese (you have to ask for it).

Horseradish ceddar cheese..I loved this.

Thai currie with tofu or shrimp.

Shrimp blended with cream cheese and add salsa on top

chicken breast, canned , 2 T FF sour cream, 1 tsp mayo, 1 dill pickle spear, blended together

My profile has almost everything I've eaten from day 1.  Start with the August and there are a heap of ideas. :-)

Welcome to the land of mush, you're going to love it! :-)

First of all, it is great to see you posting, you LOSER you!!!! lol

Since no one mentioned Greek yogurt, I will tell you my fave ways to make it. Fage is the main one, but Trader Joes has their own which is cheaper and more protein.

I use the 2% generic one, and I have 3 faves that I always tell people about, here they are...

Lemon ~ lemon pudding powder mix (about 1/3 small box), a splash of sf lemon Torani syrup, and a lemon Splenda stick and sometimes a splash of sf coconut Torani syrup

PB/Choc ~ choc. pudding powder mix (about 1/3 small box), about a Tbls. of peanut butter, a splash of sf Pbutter Torani syrup. If you aren't into the choc. you can still make this using cheesecake pudding powder instead and it is PButter Heaven!!!

"green stuff" ~ pistachio pudding powder mix (about 1/3 small box), crushed pineapple, and a splash of sf coconut Torani syrup

(for later)sometimes I will add some of my Kashi Go Lean cereal for crunch!!! YUMMO!!!!

have fun advancing sweetie!! bigg huggs, Becky
