EXERCISE THREAD!! MOVE!!

So how did your weekend go?  Did you get up and move?  Did you veg out?  This is the time of year to go to the Pumpkin Patches and Festivals.  Just walking around is good.  Somethimes just walking and remembering how this was somethine you used to avoid- or could not walk far comfortably.

One (of the many) keys to exercise is doing something you like doing.  Then you will look forward to doing it and have some fun.  Can't think of anything?  Remember what you enjoyed doing as a kid.  Was it bicycling around the neighborhood?  Playing with the hula hoops?  (Did I just date myself?)  Climbing trees (now you have climbing walls)?  Dancing around the house?  All of those fun things can be done again.  Running, for the fun of just running?

Make a plan and then make it a goal.  What did you like to do for fun as a kid?  Or as an adult?  What made you smile and giggle?  Please share.

Good Afternoon All......

Yesterday, I was at the park all day. Didn't do much more then sit around and watch all the fun. But we did walk to baseball field and back. So I did get a bit of walking in.

Today I walked on the treadmill for about 30 mins. At a sloth like pace. Hated how slow, but following the Dr. Orders like a good girl. I will take Fresser for a walk later also. Just to make sure she don't get lazy. LOL

I am glad you are taking is easy with your back. I worry about you, you know! I fondly remember your tales of walking over hill and fence when you started this journey. I even thought you got lost sometimes LOL. But you always had fun. So be a sloth! You will be fine young lady. Just slow and easy. Fresser will enjoy the change. n Just don't forget your water (and fresser's also)!!

No exercising for me today.  It's my day off but I did take a little walk after my lunch and will take a little one this evening.
I have found a new found joy for exercising.  It's amazing.  I am enjoying my running/walking and weight training.

Not yet.  I will take him on Saturday.  Life has been so packed that I haven't had time to think.

Well on Saturday I was lazy, but I took a long walk on Sunday to the market and felt much better than the day before. Today I took a walk in the afternoon during work, I try to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I topped the day off by going to the gym this evening (It Figures), and participated in a Power Hour workout. I've watched the ladies do this workout and didn't think I could do it - but I did, and got through the entire routine

The Power Hour sounds like fun.  You will be amazed at how fast you will improve.  I used to take my BFF classes, at Total Woman.  I would be in the back row, and just march in place.  I could not do her step classes, cause the steps would slide on me.  She would do hi impact and I would do the low impact.  I had alot of fun and did not care if I was keeping with class or not.  The purpose was to move!!
Good for you!

I bowled again today, with my hubby. I got three strikes in a row! Anyway, that was about as good as I got for the three games we played. I went to the pro shop and got me some bowling shoes, and I am definitely in need of breaking them in!

My next purchase is a ball and bag. They even have bowling balls with aliens on them! How cool is that? I'm going to spend the little extra and get a bowling ball that has the national breast cancer awareness logo on it, and it has the pink ribbon on the other side. I have known many people who have beat the disease (and a few who have not) so I figured it would be a good way to honor them.

More bowling for me tomorrow!

Bowling sounds like alot of fun.  Just make sure you exercise the non-bowling arm.  I would hate to see you get lopsided!!!  I also love the idea of the pink ball.  Can you get a solid pink one?  That would be too cool  .
