That has to be so hard. You can eat something one time and not the next. I also hope that the specialist can help you. Good luck and best wishes to you.

Linda - I felt like you the first 4-6 months after surgery. It sucked! I ended up having a stricture, they dialated it twice and all was well with the world again.
It seemed as though between the 4th and 6th month after surgery things slowly seemed to get better.
Hang in there, I'll be sending lots of good thoughts your way!

Thank you. My surgeon seems to think I have a stricture as well. I had an upper GI on Friday, and I see the GI dr tomorrow. He told me about the stretching that may have to be done. I figure after the surgery, that should be a cake walk. He said most strictures are diagnosed between 2 and 4 months. I am 13 weeks post op.

Hi Linda -- I'm there with you. I have been throwing up for 5 weeks (am 8 weeks out from RNY). Tomorrow I will get stricture (or whatever is down there) scoped and stretched. It is also possible I have an extremely sensitive "grouchy pouchy." Tomorrow will tell. Either way I understand completely. Hang in there and good luck. Helga
