I did not see a Janine post on Good morning Sunday!  But I know she is up.  I have not been around much lately so much life going on with me.  i keep reading but not posting.  Lets see.  My husband is still on lay off and I am still looking for a job.  I have stopped home-schooling and found a wonderful charter school that is a "green" school.  My kids love it.  I am not at 64 lbs. lost and I am walking almost every day.  We went hiking Thursday and Friday up at Silverwood lake,  Part of it was super rough on a side of the mountain and some of the trail has washed a way.  We had to jump about 5 times to get over these wash outs.  It was scary and the trails are only about 18 inches wide.  But we had a great time.  Today we are trying a new trail that is apx. 5 miles round trip so it should be interesting.  I am still looking for a job and not having much luck, so if any of you are praying people a prayer would be nice.  Sorry I have not been around much.  I will try harder next week.

Good morning Rhonda and Cali and happy sunday.

Congrats on the weight loss so far and good luck with the job thing. it's pretty tough out there right now.

Today brings the usual weekend errands since we didn't do them yesterday. Took sammi over to a friends for breakfast and also to look at their computer / printer and got it working again. From there we went to the pumpkin patch and had a great time.
DH should be home a bit early today. We may be able to have some family time before sammi goes to grandma and grandpa's for sleep over.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Sue

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali,

Sounds like those are quite some trail.  Congrats on doing them.  Will definitely keep you in prayer.  Today will be continued rest for me.  Although the pain is decreasing it is still more than comfortable.  I am hoping that it is due to these staples and will be better when they come out.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Good Morning Rhonda, and the rest of you wonderful calif peeps

Today is the family BBQ thing. And go****s has opened to be a great day. The sun is shining and there is a touch of warmth in the air, but I don't think its going to be over warm, which will make it a great day to spend the in park with family and friends. I was thinking about taking Fresser with me, but I think that just might be to much for her, so she will stay home. Maybe I will hide a few "cookies" for her to spend the time playing hide and seek.

That is all that I have planned for today.

I wish you all a great day.

DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR VITAMINS, THEY ARE SO VERY IMPORTMENT AND YOUR CALCIUM VITAMIN B12 AND ANY OTHER THAT YOUR DOCTOR HAS ASKED YOU TO TAKE.

Good morning Rhonda and Cali!

Congrats Rhonda on your weight loss.  Keep up the good work and those hikes sound like lots of fun.  I will also keep you in my thoughts in regards to the job.  It's a tough time right now but you gotta have faith.

As for me, I have a training session at the gym with my trainer than it is off to do some fundraising for my marathon.  It is not going well so I am trying to step it up a bit.

Where do the weekends go?

Thanks for all the support Cali guys and gals.   I just got back from our hike.  It was different this time.  The trail was a mess.  I climbed through bushes and over rocks and got scratched by some giant weed things.  The whole trail was overgrown and washed out at one point.  We kind of got lost and were wandering around the forest for a while.  Then we just sat our selfs down had a snack of oranges and figured our way back to the so called trail.  I fell 3 times on the trail as the dirt gave out right under my feet.  I cried at one point when we were crossing over the river by climbing over rocks and a big weed took a bite into my hand.  But I sucked it up and kept going.  I have to say after it was over I loved it.  It was a thrill.  We did not get to where we wanted to end up, but we did get an adventure and that was a good thing.  We then drove to Crestline and had some lunch and now we are home.  Thanks everyone for your love and support.

Good morning, friends.

I don't post here much. Not that I don't like y'all...I just don't have much to say. :)

I talked DH into taking me to the driving range (at a golf course, not a shooting range). He said OK considering the Green Bay game was not until 1:15. So I hit a bucket of balls. My clubs were cut down for the kids years ago, so I used DH's old clubs. He even let me use my son's hybrid driver. I worked too hard at it in the beginning and I was forming a blister in the palm of my left hand. After getting his glove, I finally figured out to relax a bit, and loosened my grip and SMOKED a couple good drives. None of them went where I wanted them to go, so I am not quite ready to take my game to the course, but considering it was maybe the 3rd time I have been to a driving range in the last 5 years, I thought I did pretty good.

Last week I went to a chiropractor in Canyon Country and she wanted $2700, for prepay adjustments for my chronic mid-back pain. (it only hurts when walking...go figure.) I left before I had an opportunity to tell her to go ****herself. I know chiropractic is not free, but holy crap! ya know? I don't know what I am going to do, now. Anyone know a reasonable DC in Santa Clarita Valley?

My kitchen is finally finished from 4.5 weeks of demolish and rebuild. It is beautiful, and the new oven, when set at 350, actually bakes at 350! Whatta concept. I have baked a cake for the family: a chocolate blackout sheet cake with pudding/cool whip frosting. I also baked a cake for my work: a strawberry jello "poke cake" like we had at every wedding/baby shower in the 70s and 80s. I won't eat either...I will just have some coffee with SF quik.

Work next week as usual. Hoping for a higher Dow, too. ;)
