Mural Update!!!!

OMG I am so almost done laying tiles I can taste it if you know what I mean. I am not going to work too much this week as I will be working all day there on Friday so the students have the opportunity to meet the artist kind of thing. It is not very often any of us get to see a piece of artwork installed...so we all agreed including my principal who is paying for day that it was a neat idea for the these students to see this. Also Laura's class went through the whole ordeal last year and it will be healing for them also.

Here are pictures....this one is when I got there about 9 this morning:

from left to right is one of her friends who still teaches at the school, her bil, her sister and her husband who happens to look a lot like Richard Gere. They are all super terrific people...I really felt their saddness and I will never get over her husband saying to me...he just didn't want Laura to be forget at the school. Laura must have been one amazing women is all I can say. I wish I had known her, but in some small way I do!

 

Thanks you guys for continuing to be so supportive to me through this...it does mean a lot to me!!

  

 

Okay, fine, go ahead and make me cry!!!! Not only the beautiful mural but what the husband said.
I think this is a wonderful idea for her class to be able to share this, especially after going through it with her last year.
You have done a remarkable job...Be proud and honored that you were able to do this for her.

WOW, meet the artist!!!!  You should be soooo proud of yourself...You have done an absolutely beautiful job!!!!!!  I am sure Laura’s friend and family are so proud of such a wonderful job you have done.  Laura must have been one special lady.  It will be great for the kids to be a part of yet and like you said it will be healing for them.

That mural is so beautiful... and yes i can see the richard gere in him... It is so nice when you meet a man *****ally loves his wife.. I had  a friend die of cancer and her husband started dateing right away (what a pig) well at least i thought he was.... Once again it is beautiful..

well, once again, all I can say is OMG IT IS FRIGGIN AWESOME.....
You are one amazing woman that I am so proud to call my friend.....this is a truly beautiful thing you have done for a very brave woman and her family and friends....

Just gorgeous Janine!  I haven't a clue what the difference is between the two (when you arrived and when you left) but I can see subtle differences, like shading or something?  I can't imagine the beating your hands took doing this, but bless your heart for doing it.  Good for you to use the gift you were given for such a wonderful purpose!  See you soon!  xo Kim
