Good Thursday Morning Everyone!!
I am feeling so much better today. My legs feel normal. I guess what I did last night? I am officially signed up to run the Inaugual Pasadena Half Marathon on November 16th. I get the opportunity to grace the beautiful city of Pasadena with my sweat. LOL. I want a PR.
Janine- everything you have said was so true. Wls has changed everything about us. It is truly amazing.
Everyone take care. Hydrate.
More love,
Kim
I'm back at work after two weeks of vacationing in Vermont and the Salem/Boston MA area. The fall foliage was incredible - we hit it at peek. We really enjoyed the breathtaking scenery, and did a bit of hiking (okay, walking) and biking. We live in a beautiful country... just highlights the how important it is for us all to take care of it.
I was sad to receive an email about the passing of Kelly Carter. I know I have a picture somewhere from a past halloween party... I can picture it in my mind - she was dressed as a sexy red devil. I'll keep looking for it.
I paged through past posts to see the latest pictures of your mural. Wow - it looks great. What a beautiful tribute.
Enjoy the day...

- Patty
Saturday I need to come into work since all the darn text is so late. At least I don't have to use my vacation time tomorrow. I'll still try to fit the Heart Walk in on Saturday am as planned.
I worked out harder last night and am feeling it this morning. Plus I think I have a touch of something. Nonetheless, feels good to have these old muscles ache again! lol!
Well, back to work... gotta get these files out.
Have a good day all!
Kim

“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” –Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981).
Old slug? Uh yeah.. whatEVER! You are the least sluggish person I know AND as far as old? Um.. yeah.. NO WAY! LOL
We usually end up out that a way at least onc during the colder months and I still have your phone numbers so as long as they are still the same - I will for sure let you know.
I am doing really well. Work has been keeping me very busy so I don't have much time to come peruse the boards and post.. Which is sad because I really used to hang out here a lot and now I feel like a visitor. :-) In other news. Some friends and I have been working on a little somethin' somethin that will allow us to help give back to this fabulous community. I would love your thoughts, reponses, ideas, etc.. so please take a look. www.youtube.com/user/bariatrictv
Yesterday, I was feeling weird (nothing new really) but I was feeling like I wasn't losing fast enough LOL. Three years ago I dieted 37 pounds off and it took 8 months to do it. Only to gain 70 pounds back in about the same amount of time( thank you antidepressants and other meds). In 8 weeks I have lost almost 50 pounds. I know for sure I am crazy cause what I was thinking yesterday is just that, "crazy thinking".
I got a call this morning from a "sister" of Native Daughter of the Golden West (www.ndgw.org) asking me to do the cooking for our Veteran's Day Luncheon. She and I are about the only ones that can cook for 1 WLS person or 500 people without breaking a sweat. So I will be cooking for 250+ people for the luncheon instead of going to the San Jose meet and greet. It is all good and this luncheon is always touching. We get so many vet's from WW2-Desert Storm-Korea-Viet Nam-and now Iraq. These guys and gals deserve to be honored daily not just once a year.
Hugs to all and have a great thursday.
