We had a really great day yesterday.  Mike reenlisted (his last time until retirement) and during the ceremony, he presented me with two bouquets (sp?) of flowers.  One for being by his side all these years as he serves and another one for our anniversary.  (I will put pics up on Myspace, if you are interested).  Needless to say, I got REALLY choked up~as is evident in the pics!  LOL

Anyway, still around....lurking.  Just been in quiet mode.

Good morning and happy thursday.  Im still kinda sleepy writing this ha ha... so no telling what I say.  I am addicted to the mcdonalds monopoly game.  We stop there in the am for my son to get pancakes and I get a coffee and we see what we won.  Today it was a french fry which my hubby will get or my son either.  So Im a mcbadgril.  lol... I doubt ill win the motherload but its fun nonetheless... Jess

Thanks for the great shout out, Janine.  It's so true, I get caught in the day to day goings on and forget to look at the forest.  When I remember to pull back and look, I'm amazed at what I've accomplished and it's easier to go forward with a lighter heart.  Thank you for reminding us.

Morning all!

My mom's doing fine... or at least as far as I left her last night. She had just gotten out of recover and into her room. We talked a bit... she, my dad and my sis and I. Then she wanted to sleep, so out we went, around 5pm. At around 9:30, she sent out an E-card. She's famous for them!! So from that I knew she was ok. We're going to go see her again today, and she'll be home tomorrow. Thanks for all your well wishes and good vibes, everyone!

I was going to go out of town next weekend, missing the coffee that my mom wants to go to with me, but I got a call last night from my oldest and dearest friend, who told me her brother-in-law just passed this recent weekend. The family, who considers me one of their own, wants me to do the music for the funeral, which is slated to be next weekend. It will be so sad.

OK, got work to do before I take off at 1 to see mom again!
