I am sorry to have my first post in years to be one that tells of the passing of a member of this board.  Ms. Kelly Carter, a member of the OH family from way back in 2004 to the present.  Though she did not post as much recently, she was a great supporting member and friend to anyone in need.

Kelly was my friend and she cared for everyone.  She was someone who would always try to support and stay above petty issues or taking sides.  I wi****raveled such a high road.

Kelly will be missed by those that knew her, those that did not will never know thier loss.  Her memorial will be in Palmdale California on October 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Chappel of the Valley on 1755 E. "R" Street.  Her family would appreciate your thoughts and memories.

Kelly always wished people on this board well.  She would want you all to do your best to be supportive of others.  She was a great friend and a good member of the OH family.  I will miss her.

Kelly was a wonderful human being.  She had many many obstacles in her way and she always chose to stay positive throughout everything.  She had remained clean and sober for many, many years.  She would do absolutely anything in the world for you.  Besides that, she was a hoot to hang around with.  My kids still talk about the time we all went to dinner.  They had so much fun.  It takes a lot for teenage boys to think someone is cool, but they told me on our way home, "Hey Mom, we like her.  She is so cool!"

I am just shocked right now.  I talked to her about two weeks ago and we laughed and laughed.  I don't even remember what we laughed about.  With her, it really could be anything at all!  She always enjoyed life to the max no matter what was thrown her way.  Not too many people in this world could maintain that smile and positive attitude like she did.

A couple of years ago, when I was going through the divorce, she was there for me.  I would call her in the middle of the night and we would just talk, about everything and about nothing.  She was a true friend.  My life has been so enriched to have known her.  God has most definitely received an outstanding, loving, giving, caring and beautiful angel.  I hope he is ready to laugh and have a good time.

I love you Kelly and will miss you so very much.

Thank you for the information Mikey. I just went over to her profile and looked at her pictures. She had such a crazy sense of humor, and always make me smile. The world will be a little less happy without her in it.

Mikey,
You are missed on the boards and I am sorry that this brings you back to post.  I remember Kelly quite well. The WLS community has lost a great person. Please give her family my best.
