Diane is out of surgery!

Just got off the phone with Doug and Diane is out of surgery.

The surgery did not go as well as planned. The doctor thought he was all done and went to sticth her up and one of the pins (or whatever the heck they call them) came right out of her bone. He said that her bone is like styrofoam (sp?) and that she has to do absoluty nothing for the next 6 - 8 weeks or she will have permanent damage this time that will not be able to be fixed. UGH!
I told Doug that I am going to be on her daily to do nothing or else! She does not want to make me mad...

So thats the latest. I will post more as soon as I talk to her in the flesh!

Oh no, poor Diane! I hope she can heal properly.

I wonder if the bone problem is an effect of WLS. Poor thing. I hope shes ok.

We need to do a coffee as soon as she is able. We will make her drink out of a straw with the cup on the table!!! lmao

My best wishes and prayers to Diane and her family, This will be a real challange along her path. I'd like a mailing address also please if she is allowing it. Tell her to keep her chin up and that shoulder immobile!! Take home health care if it is available and maybe some of her OH buddies can come for an hour or 2 a week..
I know I will when I can drive again. I can sit and fold towels or rub feet..lol
