Oh yeah, isn't that the truth! I love the answer back from every position I applied for at Scripps. No experience necessary, but we have someone more experienced than you. Even with ThatKimGirl and another friend telling them how great I would be for the job!!!

Is that Valley View casino your appling @??? I used to work there in 2001, I was laid off about a month after 9/11. just in time for Christmas.. woo hoo.. lol...
I did love working there though, I went from there to Harrahs. All the casino will make you do that by the way. They consider you "high risk" for theft if you have alot of debt. Its retarded but thats the way they think. I knew a girl that had gotten in a car accident going down the mountain to Harrahs and while she was pretty much in the hospital and accumulated (sp) the debt of hospital bills, car replacement all that jazz, the Gaming Commision told her she needed to take care of her finacial stuff b4 she returned to work.. IT WAS CRAZY!!!!
If it is Valley View.. GOOD LUCK, casinos are so fun to work @.....

Yup, it's Valley View! I can see their point of view on why they are so stict and I know it's every casino!
Wow, that sucks about your coworker, that is CRAZY!!! I will be on a provisional license until my BK is discharged!
My brother works there as one of the sous chefs. I LOVE their buffet, it is the BOMB!!!!
What department did you work in? Do you still work at Harrahs??

When I worked there I worked in the main mank. I was released because of the 3 ppl on the grave yardshift, I was the only one that wasnt a tribal member. Sucks they gave preference to them, but you gotta love indian gaming. Yes thier buffet was hella good. I remember many a morning eating there when they did a breakfast buffet.
I no longer work @ harrahs, had to quit my job when I got pregnant with my little one. I was a high risk pregnancy because of my weight, high BP and diabetes, and with the added smoking enviornment... my DR. said heck no. Best job of my life though. I would love to go back... but unfortunetly, my hubby and I now live in a place called Sacramento, also known as hell...I hate it here lol...

I wondered where Citrus Heights was, now I know!! I've never been up there, but I have a couple good friends that live up there!
The smoking environment is the only thing about the job that kind of scares me. I'm a HUGE anti smoking person and hope I'll be able to handle being around it so much!! I'm sure you get use to it eventually!
Their buffet is even better now, it has been remodeled and it ROCKS even more now. At dinner they have crab legs, lobster, and prime rib or steak so LOTS of great protein for us!!! I hear they have a great cafeteria for employees too. My brother's girlfriend, who also works there, raves about it all the time!!
She loves to eat and is as skinny as a rail, go figure!!! lol
Sucks about how you lost your job, sorry! One of the positions I interviewed for was grave yard cashier/cage, but I know now I'd have NOT gotten that one with my credit and the BK.

I hope this all works out. I was going to say to go to Free Credit Report website, but I saw that you said you need an official letter from you lawyers. Hopefully, you'll get some help from your actual lawyer today.

Yup, already did the credit reports, for nothing it looks like! Fingers crossed that my actual lawyer is helpful today!!!
