Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Monica,

I meant to have asked you:  I know you were wearing your heart monitor, on Sunday, but were you also using your running watch also?

Wow, you were working it girlfriend.

The reason why I asked about the HRM, is because I bought one last night at REI.  Polar RS100.  It is supposed to be really good.  What type do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?

I have a Timex, it's a watch and heart rate monitor.  I like it, it took me a while to figure out how to use it. I still don't know how to use all the features!!   I got it for $69 at Target.

I do like that it records all my data at the end of my run. It tells me my minimum, average, and maximum heart rate, and calculates the number of calories I burned.

My only complaint is that I can't program the intervals to go off by themselves.  For example, after I run for a minute, I have to press a button on the watch to reset the timer.....I would prefer to program the intervals and just have them go off by themselves.

Let me know how you like yours.
