I had my RNY on 1/31/08.  Up to this point, I have not been hungry.  All of a sudden, I'm hungry.

Is this normal?  Does this mean the honeymoon period is over?

I still can't eat that much at one time...I get full pretty quickly and stop eating as soon as I feel that "FULL" feeling; but I get hungry in an hour of eating.  I still eat on a small saucer...but now it doesn't hold me very long.

OMGosh, I am so scared because I am actually HUNGRY.

What have you done when this kicked in for you after surgery?

PEACE,   Harriet

Some poeple do and others dont.  It took me a couple of years to feel any hunger.  But now I process things faster and in a hour or so I feel I can eat again.  I suggest if you feel hungry to eat something that is not a bad food such as fage yogurt.  Its 80 cals a tub.  And also babybel lights are very filling.  Jess

Yes it is normal to start feeling hungry again. Just make sure that if you are hungry choose protien snacks. Protien will hold you over longer. but it is normal so do not panic. Just make wise choices. Also your metabolizam is also moving a little quicker now as well.

Live everyday like there is no tomorrow!!

It's very normal to feel hungry!  It doesn't mean anything, except, you're hungry!!!!  Just keep doing what your surgeon says and you will continue to keep losing!

Don't worry!!!!!
