Aloha all!
Just ONE more WEEK till surgery!!  Yeee HHHHHAAAAA!

I know you keep telling me to wait till after surgery, but I just can't -- so help me ok??
Has anyone tried the Protein Bullets from Bariatric Eating?   If so, were they good?  When you read on them they say they have 40 grams of Protein in a 3oz vial, and that sure sounds like, WOW what a easy way to ENSURE you've got the protein!  Also they say they have the vitamins and etc. you need.

I'm just freaking a bit that getting the right amount of protein will be as easy as everyone says AND drink the water.

Anyway-----feedback is ALWAYS appreciated!
Keep me in your prayers!   Thanks!

I've tried the bullets. The orange make me gag. Only do HALF the bullet at a time, as we don't absorb all the protein from the bullet at once. We only absorb half of it. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey... =)

Hi dalis

For me I tried the bullets and they were way to sweet for me - I had to dilute them with lots of water then they weren't to bad.  My favorite protein right now (when I make a drink) is the Cappucino flavor from Nectar (syntrax).  I also like the Unjury protein powders still to this day.   Will be thinking of you as your surgery approaches......

I only do the bullets, but only New Whey. I have tried the others YUCK!!! Some people will tell you that they do not work, but I am down 92 pounds and my labs are fine. I find them much easier to take than the shakes, besides shakes make me
You can make SF jello and put the bullet in it if you wish.

THat's my granddaughter, Jessi. She is 4 1/2 months( May 23rd) old and crawling I think she started crawling early in hopes to catch the cat and try to eat it In about a year you'll being seeing her older brother and sister in a few ads on TV, ( Maybe) They could have started last year but my daughter wanted them to start school and get a hang of that first and see if it's something the kids really wanted to do.  Good on her part.

I do the New Whey. I love them. 42 g of protein in 6-8 oz of liquid (I add water, but not a lot).

Btw, it's a myth that you can only absorb 30 g. of protein at a time. No scientific data backs that up and at least one study contradicts it.

I loved the New Whey.  I got them from the Vitamin Shoppe.  Also if you can find the Blueberry one, oh my goodness they were really good.  I only took half at a time, one big swig and that was it.  By the end of the day I had gotten alot of protein in.  But as everyone said, you will find that things you like today, you won't like after surgery.  It will be hard to get all you need to get in the first few weeks.  You are having major surgery, so don't think you are going to be downing 64 oz of water and getting all your protein in the first few weeks.  Just take it slow and allow your body to heal, you will do well.  Don't overdue it.  Listen to your body, if it is tired then rest, if you are hungry then have something you can, and don't go testing the waters too soon.

Good luck, Diane
