OT Question about being cold

Thanks for that info Kim - that makes sense, because it's not the weight 'loss' - I haven't lost that much yet, but I have been cold since I got home from the hospital.

They don't know what to make of it at work, because I was always the hot one - I have a personal fan on my desk and still wanted the air colder.  Now I'm always turning off the air and others are hot.  I have hated summers in Southern California for as long as I can remember - most of the summer I think it's too hot to walk during lunch!  This is definately a PERK I didn't expect.

I am right there along side the rest of you. I would turn the heat off every time Mom's back was turned. LOL (she wasn't laughing) I bought 2 long sleeved tees today cause I was freezing all day yesterday.
I used to think my sister was nuts in the middle of summer she would be wearing a sweatshirt. I'm not laughing anymore.

I never use to be cold... now.. after 4 years.. I STILL freeze!  I've been told the loose skin is a big part of it.  I forget how it was explained..

So invest in warm jammies, because it's gonna be a COLD winter!!

Good Luck

Me too!  My mom (lives in VA) had a hard time getting me clothes before surgery because the winter clothes were way too hot for me.  I didn't wear sweaters, long sleeves or coats.  Now?  I keep a jacket in the livingroom because I get cold evenings.  I may have to buy a coat this year..first time since I lived in Pittsburgh, PA 25 years ago. LOL

I guess it's normal now. :-)

Thanks for bringing this up.

Hi Jean,

Layers are your new friend...lol!  I wear layers now and still get cold so easily.  What a cool (hehe) problem.

Everyone's told me it's because of less body fat - maybe you're losing more of that wonderful stuff!

I've adjusted to the being cold thing by planning ahead - here's what I do -
1. I keep a jacket or hoodie in my trunk, one in my classroom, and a bunch of extra jackets in my camper - the only thing worse than being cold is being freezing old in the desert with wind and sand!

2. Remember that  I am a size medium and for 20 bucks I can add a new jacket to my ever increasing collection by going to target, or even CVS if an emergency cold spell falls on me and I didn't leave my emergency jackets where I know to leave them.

Sorry... that prolly doesn't help that much!
