Hey there Kim and All the Cali Crew--
     Kim I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time this morning you will ge in my thoughts and prayers.
      I finally feel up to posting this morning. It feels like forever but it has only been 4 days since surgery.  I am pretty sore and have been taking the pain med because I notice if I try not to I feel miserable all over and don't want to get up to move around or sip on things.  My mom has been here taking great care of me and the plan is to head to my parents house today.  I am a little worried about a 3 hour drive but the plan is pain med then hit the road with many pit stops along the way. 
    Hope everyone has a great weekend and do something to take care of yourself.       Melissa

I was told yesterday that a belly or abdominal wrap is quite ok to use..just keep it on the looser rather than the tighter side.  It may help with the drive.  I've already ordered mine..i had it mailed overnight express!!

My surgery is next month---where can I order the wrap???? I have a loooong drive home after surgery----- ( Clovis to Monterey-----YIKES!)
Any help==== I know to have a pillow.....

Good Morning all.  I have a house full of guests this weekend as a bunch came over from the coast to head to Yreka for the funeral.  We're leaving here in a few.  My kids came home too.  Joe's friend had many friends, but none closer than Joe and Robert.  The 3 amigos.  They used to do everything hunting and/or fishing together.  He will be missed.

I slept in until 9:45 this morning.  Wow.  I was beat up from working all week.

I know just how tough of a day it is for you... I lost my mother on my last day of high school and my father just five years ago. And, my college boyfriend, and my two best friends from childhood and college. Time does have a way of healing... things will not be the same but we move on... remember your mom doesn't want you to be sad. I hope the fond memories fill you.

Today I started a pot of chili for dinner. Yummmm!!! And as much as I hate it, I have to go work in the garden today for sure (didn't get to it yesterday) It is cold outside and I am not used to getting cold so it is really affecting me. Since I went off my antidepressants and had WLS I am no longer roasting all the time. Feels strange to get cold!!! LOL
Well, I better get busy, it is 60 degrees out and ain't gettin' no warmer.

   You have every right to feel meloncholy today, Most of us get those wonderful mothers who we miss always... if she was like my mom she would be so proud of how you are trying to take control of your weight... I am truly sorry that you are in pain today..Cate48
