Kim,
What time are you going to the expo.  I am not sure when my hubby and I will be there but we willl be there.  We are joing some of our bike riding friends for dinner at 5 at some place called kings fish market.  You can do the run without a problem.  The feeling of finishing is an awesome feeling.  I actually think even better.  The surgery was my vessel and then I acheived something I never would have done in my entire life.  I now at 50 am healthier than I was even in my 20's

Monica,

King's Fish House.  Where is it and how much do the meals cost on average?

Good Morning All!  This weekend brings another house full of people - but this is for a sad occassion.  The funeral of a good friend who passed in a tragic accident while working on his property with his dad.  His wife is not holding up well and since she and Joe are more like brother and sister than cousins, he will be there by her side the entire day.  My kids are coming home as well as Joe's friend - the weirdo.  I told him last night we had plans for Saturday and he just needed to keep his distance for a while as Joe will be very quiet and deep in thought and emotions.  I know my hubby very well.

I have been struggling with nausea for about a week now and after talking with the nurse at the WLS section, I've got some solutions!  She said the nausea was a form of the foamies and to drink warm water 1/2 hr before eating and about 45 minutes after eating.  Just a small amount but it cuts the foamies.  It works!

My house is cleaned, the laundry's done and all I have left to do is clean out the size 20's out of my closet and move in the 18's!  Yes!!!!  They fit!  YaHooooo

Good Morning Jean, Good Morning California, Good Morning Runners, Walkers & Cyclists!!!

I woke up this morning to chilly Long Beach and with a nervous anticipation for Sunday's Long Beach Marathon....I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!!

I've lived in Long Beach for almost five years and have also lived on the route for the marathon for all five years.  It was often an inconvenince for me, not finding parking, having to move my car off the street at 5am, and then there was the sound of stampeding runners going by my place........now I'm one of those annoying runners!

Long Beach is a great city, a real community of people...everyone from the runners store to the coffee shop is abuzz about Sunday's race.

For those of you who are still thinking about entering the 5k run/walk there's still time!!! You just have to come down to the Long Beach Convention center today or tomorrow to sign up in person.  www.runlongbeach.com

A special shout-out to my girl Kim who is running her first half marathon, keep her in your thoughts and prayers that she finishes strong. The last few miles of any run are always more mental then they are physical..  LOVE YOU KIM! RUN STRONG!!!

Ok, I'm all hyped up this morning, I need to calm down.

Thank you Monica for the shout out and the good vibes.  May all of the runners run strong and all of the riders ride strong.  When are you going to the Expo?
