Latest Monica Update **Edited**

Hi Again!

Monica has been texting me.  First of all, she has switched rooms.  The telephone # for that room is 310-517-2226 if anyone wants to call.  Also, she said the internist came to see her and said she was on the schedule for surgery tomorrow at 9:30 am!  However, I guess it is still up to the surgeon and also whether or not there is a room available - wait and see, I guess.

As to some of your questions...  Jordyn is good; she has cold but is doing well with Monica's mom.  And, if anyone would like to send a card/care package, etc., Monica has given me this address:

Edited information:  Monica called.  She said she spoke with the surgeon and that she will have surgery tomorrow - possibly as early as 7:30 am.  She will have an epidural before surgery so she doesn't have to have a morphine pump afterwards (she is very excited about that).  The surgery will be open so everything can be checked thoroughly (for hernias, etc.).  He said her pouch is way too large, so they will make that smaller, and depending on what he sees, he may bypass more intestine.  She is trying to stay positive - looking forward to no more pain and a jump start to her weight loss.  She will be in for 5 days after surgery and 4 weeks recovery at home.  Also, she will more than likely be switching rooms again, so she said I could post her cell phone number:  310-292-9864.  She wants to really thank everyone for all the support she's been getting!!  Whew, that's about all I can remember - lol!

WOW!  I'm so exicited for her. I'm hoping she gets the answers and that she continues with WLS journey...YEAH!
