Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been out of town in San Jose since Thursday (no internet access) but wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Nathan. It felt so good to know that I had friends here keeping us in their thoughts. It was definitely a scary experience and I sure hope that our next helocopter ride is a lot more enjoyable. Nathan is doing ok, but even 5 days later is still extremely sore with limited movement of his head. Luckily it's nothing more than muscle strain, so it should gradually get better. He is hoping to be back in time to play in the big game of the season this weekend, but I'm thinking NO WAY!!!!! LOL!
Thank you again everyone!!!!!!

Boys and their football are crazy. Mine played and wanted to get back in 2 weeks after blowing out his knee. Wanted to play with a brace. Took him back to the doc with the agreement that what the doc says goes. Doc said no. He didn't pay again until the next year and then it was with a brace on.
He's very very very lucky. A family friend's son was injured in a football accident about 7 weeks ago and he kinked his spinal cord. He is now in re-hab determined to walk again but it'll be a long haul. He's wiggling his toes independantly, but it's a small step.
Prayers and good thoughts to both you and your son. Put your foot down and make him realize that your neck is nothing to screw around with. Rest those muscles and take the time to let his body heal.
