Good Sunday Morning Gang!

Thanks it was a blast.  I loved meeting all of you that came.  I went to the improv last night and it was a fun time with my hubby too.  I cant beleive the weekend is almost over.  Doesnt time fly by.  Today Im taking it easy and watching a movie at home.  I just had my morning coffee.  Mmmmm.  It never gets old.  I have a keurig machine so its like the most fun toy I neve had. :)  Hugs, Jess

     I had a great time yesterday at the meet and greet.  It was great to see everyone even if I did not get to visit with everyone  and I got some great hand-me-downs.  I am just sipping my clears today and making jello.  I have to work later tonight, my last for a while :).

Good Morning All!  Today brings me quiet in my chair and blankie enjoying the cool morning air in through the windows.  Ahhhh, I love morning air.  Joe got up at 5 and went hunting.  I would have gone too but my kids are home and I just want to enjoy the time with them.  Went to Costco yesterday and spent $425.....(ouch) but a lot of that is going home with the kids.  They've been eating cheap crap that is so not good for any of them.  So momma bought them some good stuff.

Also today we're going to go pick up Jayden's tv that he won.  I actually get to pick one out at Best Buy for $800 so we'll see.  I'm going to pre-shop online and possibly get a 36" better tv.

Kid brought home a refrigerator yesterday - side by side Maytag.  I cleaned it up, and plugged it in and it's still not cooling.  Hmmmmmmm.  I know it's been sitting for 3 months but that shouldn't affecdt it.  I guess I'll have to call a repairman.  It's a new-er fridge with water and ice in the door and it's huge and barely fits in the fridge space but that's ok.  It means NO MORE DEAD THINGS in my fridge during hunting season!

Off to make my protein shake and enjoy my last day off before I return to the world of the workers!  Ahhhhh, this last month was sure nice.  I'm taking measurements today too as it'll be 1 month since surgery.  I know I've lost 41.5 pounds so...........

My hubby looked at me last night and said......41.5 pounds!  Thats one of those big bags of dog food.  I just looked at him and WOW!  It hit me.  That's a lot!  I know, because I buy those bags all the time and struggle to lift it.  Just thinking about the fact that I've been hauling around the equivalent of a 40# bag of dog food is mind boggling.  Now to get rid of the other 2 bags!

Whenever I gripe about carrying a 28lb box of cat litter up the stairs, which is a frequent occurrence since I live alone and there's no one else to carry it, it makes me think ... I have lost 92lbs in the five months since my surgery ... It's amazing to me that I carried that much extra weight for so many years (and still have a lot to lose), but it's such a strain to carry 28lbs of cat litter ... Makes me realize how much strain all this weight has been putting on my body all these years. It's a big reality check, isn't it? It also occurred to me the other day that my five-year-old niece weighs about 50 or so pounds ... So if I look at it that way, I say to people, "I have lost almost two Syennas!" LOL!

By the way, one month post-op and you're down 41.5 already? That is AMAZING!

I am late this morning with my post (even though I have been up since 4) cause I didn't get right on the puter and was reading.  Anyhoooo - thanks for thinking of me Janine - the dentist was - well - the dentist....yuck.  But he numbed me up ALOT and I didn't feel a thing until it all wore off.  Friday night was yucky but by Sat it was alot better - even went to a CABI (its a line of clothes sold only in homes at partys) party with my sis then out to dinner with both sisters....fun day (but I spent to much money on the nice clothes.....)

I am getting ready to run to sears and spend a couple of Lands End gift cards I got last christmas.  I have been saving them so I could get some much needed tops for the cooler weather (need some long sleeve T's for sure).

Then a Trader Joes run and home to take a nap maybe.

Janine I am so glad you are taking a much needed break - you deserve it for  sure.

Lu - you better not run or I will help Janine kick your arse.....

Hi everyone!

One of these days I think I'm gonna have to take a little road trip to attend one of these meet and greets, because I would love to meet you guys! It's hard with my work schedule because I rotate days off ... But one of these days I will figure something out!

Today is my first day off and I think it's going to end up being a wasted day ... I fell asleep around 2:00am and I didn't wake up until 1:10pm!!! I was exhausted last night at work and kept making mistakes ... I even made an officer come all the way to HQ, only to find out that the error I thought he had made was actually *mine*! Fortunately, he is a really sweet guy and he knows me, so he just teased me about it ... At least he got a laugh out of it!

My sister and our stepdad took my nieces to the fair today ... I would have gone with them, but she sent me an email last night telling me they were going, and by the time I got home and got it, it was too late to call her and find out what their plans were ... And she didn't call me this morning to find out if I was going ... Oh well ... We are going to Disney's California Adventure on the 17th for their Halloween party, so I need to save my money for that ... And since I can't eat fair food, it seems like kind of a waste to spend the day there!

I woke up with a migraine Friday morning (first one since my surgery), and it was so bad that I had to leave work after only three hours. I had one migraine pill left, which I took Friday night ... It helped, but when I woke up yesterday it was still lingering, so I decided to go to urgent care for a Toradol shot and to get a prescription. She gave me the shot and ONE migraine pill, but told me that since she doesn't have my medical records, she didn't want to give me a prescription. BOO!  I was NOT happy ... I kept thinking, What am I gonna do if I wake up tomorrow and it's still not gone? Well, I did wake up with it today ... Not as bad as Friday, but it's definitely still there. It's Sunday - I can't call my doctor ... And I am not paying for another visit to urgent care to get another shot and another pill ... I guess I will just rest today and call my doctor in the morning.

Hi everyone!  Well, it's darn near 5 pm and I'm just getting around to posting.  LOL  Had a busy weekend at the Pacific Bariatrics Patient Reunion.  Met some nice fellow OH'ers along with Becky!  Got my pic taken with my awesome surgeon Dr Tanaka, and have made it my avatar, seems to take a little bit for it to show up when you do that...anyhoo, this will be our last weekend out gallavanting until November when we get to go to the NASCAR race in Phoenix!  Wahoo!!!   It's been a fun summer...now onto a great Fall...looking forward to Tom's Farms in November!  xo  Kim
