QUESTION! Richmond Kaiser
I"ve decided to forego my expensive insurance at work and get added to my husbands, which is Kaiser.
I've already had the surgery at a non-Kaiser facility....so I"m good there.
I am wondering when I switch to Kaiser, will they allow me to see the bariatric doctors for maintenance appointment and labs. With my PPO, if the doctor didn't do the surgery, they didn't want to care for you; but not sure how it works with Kaiser.
I live between Sacramento and Richmond...so I'm thinking I'd have to go to the Richmond Kaiser for the appointments. I think one of the doctors is Dr. Baggs there.
Does anyone know how this works?

Call bariatrics, they might not assign you to a specific doctor, but they will set up you so you can go to the group follow ups.
You no longer get to have check ups one on one with your surgon unless something is wrong.
The will schedule your labs and you probably wont be see until your a year out.
The usually have group check ups at 3,6,12 months and then every year.
Good luck!
