Period's after WLS

I am a month out today, and I haven't had my period yet. Did anyone have unregular periods after WLS? Before WLS I was pretty regular.

I swear my biggest fear is getting pregnant.....even though there is only like a 1% chance (my tubes are tied), but still its a horrible fear.

Sorry Nicole, I had a hysterectomy in 2003 so I didn't have to deal with all that after surgery. But the stress from the surgery itself might be causing a delay in your period. That's the only thing I can think of.

Nope never had that problem Nicole....started my period....I wanna say while in hospital...or shortly after I came home....ugh!!! It was like a double whammy!  I also had my tubes tied. Then went on to have to have my periods dealt with because I had super bad periods...was awful. So be thankful it is not coming right now. A lot of us have problems because of all the estrogen being dumped from losing weight so fast...estrogen is stored in fat. So there! LOL

 Shoot,, I never had my periods before WLS,, maybe once every 4 or 6 months, they were so irregular, then about  2 months after my surgery, I have had regular periods ever since,, so Im just the opposite of you.

My period came a week after surgery (same day as you, remember) which was a week early for me.  I just started again and it's only been 3 weeks since my last one.  I did read that your periods will be screwed up for awhile after surgery.  I wish I was in your shoes...

No way, this whole screwed up period thing is stressing me out. So how are you doing? I havent talked to you in a while.

I'm doing pretty well.  I've only lost 25 pounds which is a little disappointing.  I had a salad the other day and became violently sick.  Other than that I haven't had a problem with anything. 

I go back to work tomorrow :(
