Feeling yucky and tierd of it!
I need some help please...I will be the first to admit that I have not done everything exactly they way I should have since my RNY 2 years ago, perhaps the couple of problems that I am experiencing now are a result of that. My first problem is that every time I eat I feel very yucky after. I have no energy and I have to lie down for a bit till it passes. It is not a feeling of fullness or Nasua. It almost feels like low BS perhaps. My BS never is above 121 but averages around 112 even after eating. Any one experience anything like this or have an idea what could be going on?
Also I am bipolar and take meds to control it. I am very weepy and moody and I think that I may have an issue with absorption with my meds. Has anyone had good luck with any? I currently take Depocoate 1000 mg, Abilify 10mg and Neurontin 900 mg.
Thanks

Your not being mean, but I thought I would let you know that we had the same surgeon. He is great!! I fallow his diet guidelines and I have found several foods that are on the plan that I do not tolerate at all well. So I avoid them. I feel yucky after eating anything. I am still in the habit of monitoring my portions as well so that I am not over eating. It is like a crashing feeling after I eat. Labs are all current and fine as well. I am just very puzzled. The Dr. seems to think that I am doing well and he is happy with where my weight is even though I will I could loose a bit more. I dono, just frustrated. Anyone else have any input or ideas?
Now as to bi-polar, talk to the doctor that prescribed the meds and tell him how you are feeling. I too suffer from it and I take my meds everyday, but still there are days that are down. Remember tiredness is a symptom of depression. I think calling your doctor, your primary, and your WLS is a good place to start. It really isn't normal to feel bad.
Keep in touch and let us know what is happening
Good luck, Diane
Are you eating a lot of carbs at each meal? I know that I get that "food coma" feeling like you described if I eat too many carbs. Maybe keep a food diary for a week or so and faithfully write down everything you eat and the reactions that you have after the meal. Maybe a pattern will emerge?
Best of luck to you,
