Self-Esteem Issue/Question
You know, EVERYONE in my life - EVERYONE who knows me - knows I had the surgery. I made the decision to tell them and I knew that I would only have to tell a few people at work before the word would spread to everyone else - and I was right! But for all the people who have asked me questions about it, only ONE person has asked me WHY I did it - what brought me to the point that I decided surgery was the answer. And that person was an officer I rode with last weekend, whom I barely know! He didn't ask any questions about my weight - starting or current, or how much I wanted to lose, what my goal is ... Nothing. He just wanted to know what brought me to the point that I decided surgery was the best thing for me. Personally, I think that is a far more important question than how much weight I've lost or how much more I need to lose.

Hey Lauren Marie,
It is nobody's buisness but your own!!! I know there are rude and pushy people out there.. but just tell them what you are comfortable with. Or even tell them.. Don't you know it's rude to ask a lady about her weight!
When my weight was dropping off, there were some people I shared all my info with.. and some.. I just didn't want to. So when people would ask, I'd just tell them.. Ohh I don't know, I haven't kept track...
Don't let it get to you, and don't let it damage your self esteem. I know it's hard, but losing all that weight is a MAJOR accomplishment! You shyould be extremely proud of yourself!
Keep your chin up and you head high!!!!!

I am blessed that no one has been rude or pushy at all! I think they are just curious and honestly, I don't blame them. But I don't have any self-esteem for them to damage ... I just need to work on building some so I won't have to worry so much what they are thinking!
